Now,I Can Die In Peace

It happened so, one, fine night,
Strolling along a forest dark,
A figure happened to pass my sight,
Walking through the cabbage bark.

I stopped myself, and turned around,
And followed him along...
He was wearing a dirty old gown
Murmuring a soft known song...

I tried to stop him, “Hey you,” I cried,
With little hope and a little fear.
He turned towards me and sighed...
How come you, here,” My dear.”

I was astonished to see him there,
In a condition so weird and worn.
And remembered all, we used to share,
In the village, by the field of corn

“What have you made yourself tell me please?”
“Why do you look this way I began to plea?”
“Look ,Sweet heart I still wait at ease
For you, to come up someday to meet me.”

Memories came up floating free,
And all was clear like the sky.
He was’ my love’ in nineteen century
Whom I betrayed, saying “goodbye.”

I clasped him tight,” forgive me please”
“But, why didn’t you after all marry?”
“I love only once, and true love never flees
The burden which till now carry”.

“You have come and my prayers are granted,
Now I can die in peace”
I stood dumb fold, couldn’t help myself
And the instance came to a cease.

All was gone.., I was in bed,
Now realise, why I am alone today,
“History repeats itself”- it is well said,
I broke ‘someone’s’ heart one day.

A Misunderstanding

I regret the time, when, I left you alone,
You again, stopped me, but I did not care.
Things taught me, and time has shown,
Realise now I, “how could you then bear?”
You loved me much, now, how can I atone
Just stand still, only, in the dark, to stare
I would love to be called back,”My love”
And share, the times, we were proud of.

I want back, all the warmth, you showered,
Your smiles, your hugs and your kisses.
Frighten me, why? With your face so glowered,
Don’t deny me, with my sweet reminisces.
I m repentant, for all your hopes, I devoured,
I have already cried a lot, in soft hisses.
You could not see the scars, beneath,
The sky was on me, I lost in the heath.

You insulted me at the public junction,
And threw away my composed song, apart.
Neither did you feel, why? any compunction,
With tears in my eyes, I had to depart.
I met the disgrace at the function,
My heart seemed to break, into half.
I could not bear, your applause, for my rival,
The thing I repeatedly told you, for revival.

I m not alone, the one, to be blamed,
Although I walked away, time has been tough.
All was not only my fault but you claimed.
Do forgive me now, don’t be rough,
I am saturated with, the pain I have tamed.
You’ll love me as before, I m sure enough.
We’ll again build our small cosy zoo
With no more differences between me and you.

Betrayal

My dear, you left me, at the same spot as before,
I was dreaming, I suppose, or was it for sure.
You held me close to you and promised to be mine,
And I blindly accepted, pondering all was fine.
The lovely feeling of togetherness, made me feel,
Heaven was with me, why I should, then appeal.
I was swayed by your sweet notes on net,
You were with me, the happiness I ever met.
Dreams which were planned, started coming true,
They were no more castles in air, as I earlier knew.
The times were wonderful, I, myself couldn’t believe,
But only mused in silently, how I could achieve.
Couldn’t help myself, I flew fast to reveal,
My joy to a friend, to express how I feel.
She held me close, telling at last God has bestowed,
The rewards of the seeds, which we both sowed.
To my surprise, she showed me the same note,
The name was concealed, but had the same quote.
For a second, I felt there was darkness all around,
Took leave with difficulty, without making a sound.
The sky fell on me as I trotted back towards home,
My boat was drifting in the ocean of foam.
How could “my love”, play the double game,
The very feeling of betrayal, made me insane.
I realised, at last, about the fact, all day long,
As habits can’t be changed, I was then wrong.
Dreams are dreams they never can be true,
Reality is bitter and also very hard to chew.
Again I stand, alone at the same spot as before,
Lonely as ever, soothing a broken heart for sure....

An Appeal

Queen of my dreams, oh! my love,
Up in the sky and the world above.
Instant touch of winds make me feel,
Caresses of you, again, I appeal.
Knower of unknown, send her back,
Watching from above, to fill my sack.
Ice-cold have I turned without you,
Take off the veil, from the blue.
Take turns backward or else I’ll die
End up my life, no more sighs.
Death completes all, no more cries.

The Time To Change

The slogan was repeated, nth number of times,
But, have things changed.
Nothing new, cropped up; still men lose their lives,
Again it is the same.
Brides are being burnt, people manipulate lies,
Corruption is still tamed.
A bomb explosion everywhere, the newspaper sighs,
Who is to be, after all, blamed?
How long things will go, nothing happens and time flies,
Who will remove the stain?
Undeserved are still progressing, talent that money buys,
Deserved are once more drained.
The rich exploiting the poor, hankering after the prize,
Slaves are over again caned.
Terrorist’s secretly using power, ruling in guise,
Politicians are always gained.
The freedom fighters fought and sacrificed their lives,
When will their dreams be ingrained?
It is now or never, all of us should, join into ties,
Because, it is the time to change.
The time to change
The time to change.
