Golden Sunset

It only comes once a day
It doesn’t last very long
To the eyes,
It is a painting
And to the mind
It is a second in time

A beautiful golden ray 
Reflecting off each skyscraper in the view
A fresh breeze of wind
Matched with the vibrant green trees
And above it all,
Purple cotton candy like clouds

Bright blue and white mountains far off in the distance
It can’t get any better than that
But it only lasts so long until
It sprints away faster than a cheetah
Nothing less, nothing more
A sunset
