I Am An Eagle

Where does the eagle abide?
How does he survive?
In the sky he flies with pride,
He flies above his head,
Never scared of death,
Heading towards the realm of where?

Why don't the eagle flock?
Why don't the eagle get mocked?
He's alone in the world of alone,
Drowning in loneliness and happiness.
In silence he hears every evil,
But what concerns an eagle with evil?

I am an eagle that flies without wings,
Courage and fearlessness are my wings.
The sky smiles when I soar high,
The earth longs for my return.
In a war front I'm an eagle unscathed,
With God I can end what I started.

Oh What a Set

Oh! What a set
Why did they begin to change
I can remember the first person I met Michael was his name

Augustine Henry!! The principal would call
Here I am!! Was always his response
Why have your set decided to fall?
Silence and confusion were his response.

A set with great and noble men,
But surrounded by uncertainties.
A set with brave and prestigious men,
Yet, they can't escape difficulties.

SPACO! SPACO! I screamed,
When will all this come to an end!
Oh! I forgot I was talking to myself
But I think I should ask again.

Now that we have parted ways,
Would I be remembered for anything??
I wish I could go back to my old days,
At least, just to correct something.

I can hear the walls speaking to me.
They speak in a voice so low.
Can anyone hear what they're saying to me?
Of course no! Their voices are so low.

They speak words of love and encouragement.
They speak sense into the deepest part of me.
They speak good about my days in SPACO.
They speak truth about my set.

Yes! We came as strangers.
Yes! We met as friends.
Yes! We lived as brothers.
Yes! We left as a family.

My towel get soaked with tears,
On a warm evening of reminisce on our old days.
May God protect us throughout the years,
And give us the strength to run our race.

Things Happen

THINGS HAPPEN

Pimples and dimples fighting for a beauty contest on my black rugged face. None of them will win. On my face - things are happening!

Tapeworms and liverflukes struggling to squander the half cup of garri I bought on credit from mama Monica. Inside your stomach - things are happening!

Angel Michael and Angel Lucifer are battling on who's taking my soul. That's not their problem! The question is, who am I giving my soul? Check your spiritual life - things are happening!

Two beautiful flowers are fighting over an ugly fellow like me. They said they're in love with me. With who? That's an "emotional error"! Check your love life, maybe you're in love with a witch, I didn't say anything o, but just know that things are happening.

Fakeship and friendship are in a relationship with you. You call both of them your friends? How long shall you dwell in the abode of delusion? "Show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are", I didn't say it, the Bible did. Check your friends - there's something wrong - things are happening!

Things happen, yet invisible to the naked eyes. Buy you can see them - count your hairs. Are they complete?
The things you hear, don't you think they can damage your ears?
How about the sordid things feeding your eyes, pray you shouldn't go blind.
The air you breath - won't they choke you?
The things occupying your mind - aren't they capable of damaging the heart?

Things are really happening beneath -
But we are quick to pass judgement on one's physical foibles. Leave judgement for our "Divine Jurist". He knows how to handle us!
Check yourself, maybe you're devoid of something - maybe there's something wrong with you.

Just know that things are happening.

Had I Known

HAD I KNOWN

The world has turned it's back against me
Friends know me no more
The police has come to arrest me
I wish I had known

My ears were made for hearing
My eyes were made for seeing
And I have a functional brain
But why am I going insane

I took so many advice for granted
I almost killed a man, he was bleeding from his nose
Now here I am being tagged 'most wanted'
I wish I had known, but now all the doors are closed.
