Casey Miccio Poem
Our love reminded me of seasons
in spring we danced in the rain
singing as the leaves grew back
our love blossoming with my flowers
In summer we swam in the ocean
listening to the birds songs overhead
we were as sweet as the honey from the bumblebees
In fall we were falling apart
the leaves were changing and wilting away
they changed almost as fast as your feelings for me did
In winter we were over
you left me faster than the snow falling to the ground
yet I was the snow falling to the floor
you broke me and left me to freeze to death

Casey Miccio Poem
When they decide it's time to leave, let them
Cry for however long you need
Mourn for them for however long it takes,
But don’t ever beg for them to stay
Don’t run after someone who wouldn’t even walk after you
Bite size poem #32

Casey Miccio Poem
Honest- don’t betray the truth that lies underneath
Brave- comfort zone is not in the dictionary
Loving- never make someone feel less than they are
Attractive- beauty lies on the inside of yourself
Risky- don’t let anything get away if you want it
Fearless- fear is the biggest obstacle of dreams
Hardworking- nothing will stop me from what I want
Confident- believing in yourself is the best option
Perfect- perfection is in everyone

Casey Miccio Poem
moving on is the hardest part
thoughts, reminiscing, and crying
its almost a feeling of being lost
I lost him
I lost my world
I lost myself
But there’s good in losing someone
You lost someone who wasn’t good enough for you
You lost someone who didn’t put you before themselves
You lost someone who couldn’t care about what harm they did
There’s bad loses
There’s good loses
It’s going to hurt like hell, but the world doesn’t stop
The rain still pours
And your heart keeps loving

Casey Miccio Poem
Walking through the halls was like getting poked with a thorn
Dating you was a nightmare
The side glances from people I didn't know
The way your friends laughed at me
It wasn't a matter of being embarrassed by you
It was a matter of being embarrassed by letting you use me
I knew what you did when I wasn't around
You thought I was an oblivious idiot and didn't know
I knew what you did with her, my best friend
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out
I was an idiot, but I wasn't oblivious
~ losing you felt like it would hurt more than knowing what you did with her

Casey Miccio Poem
My mom always told me to think with my heart
“Your heart will lead the way” she said
I wore my heart on my sleeve like every other naive teenager
Over and over and over again
My heart broke like that
My mom never told me it would hurt, but it did
Think with your head, think with your head, think with your head
That’s what I told myself
Be logical, not risky
Risky hurt
Risky caused panic and pain
The pain never really goes away
I just got better at hiding it

Casey Miccio Poem
I smelt the bourbon from your mouth
You are the most beautiful girl I have ever met
I cried, but it wasn't a happy cry
I cried for all my restless nights
I cried for all my overthinking
I cried because all you ever did was lie to me
The lies dripped from your mouth like the bourbon on your lips
All I could do was swallow it like it was my last drink
I was thirsty, but it wasn’t a thirst you could quench
~ I drowned in your lies

Casey Miccio Poem
I love you
I smiled and kissed your lips
Your tongue dripped with poison
But it tasted so sweet
I love you
You pulled down my pants with a force
I clung to your body wanting to stay here forever
I love you
How could a phrase so sweet turn so sour
I started to taste your poison
I unclung from you with haste
~ I had to leave before it was too late
