With every step I take
It feels as I'm just going deeper
Into unknown waters
That slowly swallow my being
I´m drowning
Every word I say feels like
I am just breathing in the water
I can´t breathe
I´m losing sight of what matters
I´m drowning
Every insult that I hear
Every push and shove that I receive
I get push further and further
Until I´m fully submerged
I´m drowning.

I walk the halls of my school
People laughing at me from every direction
I find my friend and she looks at me and says
Are you okay?
I say ¨I´m fine¨
Next day I get pushed to the ground
People point and laugh at me
I get up and walk to the bathroom
My boyfriend who´s also in there asks
Are you okay?
Again I say ¨I´m fine¨
Next week I get told I´m worthless
I get pushed again and again
I see my friend crying and ask
Are you okay?
They say no and ask for help
I go home and my dad yells at me for not being home sooner
He yells and slaps me again and again
I go to the bedroom and cry
My sister comes in and asks
Are you okay?
I once again say ¨I´m fine¨
I always say I´m fine when people ask
Are you okay?
The words I´m fine are the only ones I can say
The only ones my friends every hear when they ask
Are you okay?
I say I´m fine because I don´t want them to deal with my problems
I say I´m fine because I´m to scared to say otherwise
I´m to scared to say how I actually feel
I don´t want others to leave me because I´m weak
So I say I´m fine.
