Amit Kanwar Poem
Too heavy was a load of life,
Fighting I was, the inner and outer strife.
Difficult it was with challenges at every turn,
What I was undergoing, was no one’s concern.
Fighting I was, a battle alone,
Engulfed I was, with a fear of unknown.
The life was tough in the battle zone,
Such was the life and I felt to be totally alone.
In this darkness, at the end of the tunnel, there was a light,
Inspired did She me, to continue my fight.
Listening to my woes, she never was tired,
Encouraged She did me, and that was all that I desired.
Through the times, She stood with me,
With her hand in my hand, from the tough times, I never did flee.
Always were there, to soothe me, her talks and smiles,
With her on my side, I walked for miles.
Her lips speak but Her eyes talk,
With Her, through my life, I wish, I could walk,
May not be possible now it is,
But one day, I know, it is will is His.
In this worldly chaos, She is a light,
Making this world and my life, forever bright.

Amit Kanwar Poem
The rising evil endeavouring to engulf the beautiful realm,
The demon of the disease seems like, humanity it will overwhelm.
The pall of gloom spreading across the domains,
Compelling the world into deadly contrived chains.
The exploited Mother Nature is on a revengeful rampage,
Notifying the obdurate mortal, that he can be easily be confined to a cage.
To change our ways, admonitory call this is, to the human clan,
Doomed & dead will be, or else, man’s eternal plan.
Pledge we must, to fight united with determination & this too shall pass,
Pledge we must, to remain a sensible & modest class.
Pledge we must, to accept Magna Mater’s grace,
Pledge we must, to slow down our life’s breakneck pace.
Pledge we must, to live a life full of grins,
Pledge we must, never to repeat our exploitative sins.
Pledge we must, to be appreciative of the breaths we take,
Pledge we must, to accept nature’s ultimate authority, for humanity’s sake.
Pledge we must, to talk more than to text,
Pledge we must, to pressure the Mother Earth’s treasures for our generation next.
Pledge we must, to line with passion & zeal,
Pledge we must, not to rotate a maddening hamster wheel.
Pledge we must, to savour every bite,
Pledge we must, to always fight for the right.
Pledge we must, to love a lot more,
Pledge we must, to stay happy to the love.

Amit Kanwar Poem
Into the territory unknown today I travel,
I don’t know what, in future, it will unravel.
Walked I have, a path, which is unique and lesser-known,
But this is where I find my comfort zone.
In future what is, known is only to God,
Feeling what I am, maybe a little odd.
Free soul, I want to be,
The whole world, in this life, I want to see.
Away from shackles of the universe, we know,
Into a world of my own, I feel I can grow.
Want to see your face, every day I am awake,
Disown I will, this world, for your sake.
Stay in my world, wherever I go,
My true worth, I feel, you only know.
Travelling today, into this territory, which I know isn’t mine,
I still want, the face of yours, in front of me, should always shine.
