Winter's Mind

Temptations and desires fade
A heaviness pervades your quilt
Shadows pilfer heaven’s joy
Every flower doomed to wilt
Resistance born from a hearth
Solitary feelings float around
The pain of dejection persists
Dreams chained to the ground
Winter’s mind is a lonesome buffer
Dulled senses reluctant to cope
A rainbow’s fate is annihilation
Here dies every woeful ounce of hope
Mystic eyes veiled by heaps of pity
Ruined tears form a crystal glaze
Relief is but a shameless unicorn
Time worth the price of your days
Wishful thinking is a trite melody
Nature’s purpose obscured by lies
Nothingness speaks louder than words
Unhappiness flows from white skies

Blossom

Alluring flower
Comely eyes of spring water
a budding nexus

Twilight's Symphony

Upon the transition into a wistful soul
A past seeking self forfeits a requisite toll
Feelings are born from moments of pleasure
Memories are lost to space beyond measure

All meandering paths terminate in the end
Infinity exists in trust we cannot comprehend
Prescience flutters in the ether of the night
Sorrow lingers in the recesses of our might

For the truth untold is a beast in repose
Reason’s domain has faults to expose
Inevitability is the atom of realization
Now is the eve of eternal damnation

Permanence resides in a simple belief
Loyalty to a God is but devotion to a thief
Acceptance is my ruler; Finality is my reward
Silence celebrates the cessation of my chord

Isolation

Premonitions once foretold,
Grace our presence, a sight to behold.
Breathless throughways and doleful silence,
Consumption of souls and hearts of the masses.

The collective yearns for times of bygone days,
A past that is but a shrouded isle of halcyon haze.
The terminal limit is near, the end is within touch.
Solemn ruminations can only do so much.

Pray thee to the Eye in the sky,
He who knows what afflictions must warily arise.
Can these actions reverse what has transpired?
Isolation in the highest courts of divinity and the desired.

Time stops yet, there is much that can be done.
Hope is our beacon, our light and our sun.
Take heed and listen to our declaration,
We may still listen to the sultry symphony of affirmation.

Presence

In the meadow a doe saunters
Unburdened by thoughts of taxation
Upon a weathered branch a squirrel scampers
Ignorant to concepts of destination and commute
Birds coo and bestow their wisdom
Hollow silence rings for those in pursuit of fame
Frogs repose on pedestals of boulder and gravel
Subservient to a perilous presence
Sunlight creeps into damp abysses
Unbeknownst to hearts shrouded of raiment and shade
Flowers bloom and reveal hidden truth
Oblivious to the complexion of the present
But the wind carries news of impending fate
Revealing the nature of being here and now
What was once a land of abundance
Lies a skeleton of want and despair

Fair Waltz

A stupor born from a haze of deceit,
My longing is requisite and tasteless.
Redeem the worth of another fool’s charm,
Who am I to append fate and comprehension?

It’s been a long winter waiting for relief.
Warmth tempers in the shadows.
The composition of faith is a moral burden.
Spring’s fate is marked by time’s passage.

Emptiness is my willing chauffeur,
Pining is my method of fervor.
Commiseration is a matter of shame.
Emotional property cannot be pilfered.

Delusion’s apex plunders the might.
A blind sense battles the shameful wise.
Salvation seeps through the pores,
Forsaken dreams are means to abide.

Melodramatic flowers bloom in earnest.
Infected presence is a suit of despair.
The reality of life is uncertain,
If God can’t sin, why can I falter?

Bittersweet tunes and eroding melodies,
Floating fancies surround my head.
Introspective moves and tears of tragedy,
Swing me around the carousel of dread.

Picnic Bench

Polluted skies foretell a feast that will satiate the ravenous.
Imaginary beams linger in the depths of denial.
Clairvoyance rains down upon the garden of dismay.
Natural splendor reminds us to taste the shadows.
Impatience seeps into the roots of affliction.
Common ignorance is the flavor craved today.
Beyond the confusion resides a foundation.
Enigmatic beings govern this domain.
Negligence is a kingdom of comfort.
Captured hearts are powerless to forget.
Hunger is a beacon for dark opinions and bright thoughts.

Tinder

a fortunate match
a union once asunder
let our passion burn

Carnal Sensibility

If love is blind, then what is carnal attraction?
Untuned fidelity can be quite the fatal distraction.
A novel connection conjoins souls between me and new.
What is a twisted nail but a substitute screw?

Land of Liberty

Blood marks the score of a finished game
Victory champions over boundless disdain
Prosperous oceans cherish tides of mirth
Tumultuous ties divide; Faith gives birth
Annihilation arrives at a familiar destination
Power ferries the raft of exploitation
Beautiful and spacious eyes reflect
Amber waves of pain can only collect
Reason masquerading as a noble friend
Purpose in the name of glory and pretend
Treasure stolen by a current threat
Past exchanged for a future debt
Battles waged as resistance remains free
Subjugated souls sing their pining plea
All sweet dreams are fated to cease
Unseen Lords pilfer everlasting peace
Mercy requires a beating heart
Capitulation demands a willing part
A realm once known for liberating choice
Here rests a nation, a sea, and a dying voice
