Behind Smiles

Smile a beautiful scar
A curve stretching
On all the visages of the world
Despaired and poor? do they smile at all

Smile that beautiful scar
Which conceals behind it shades and marks
What you may see might just be the merry part

They smile as they cry
They smile hiding their sorrow
They smile to deceive you
They smile to escape their pain
They smile in their failure
And they also smile in hope

Most of all they smile in happy times
 They smile getting nostalgic
They smile at ease
They smile in & yield of hard work
They smile in warmth of their lover

Some smiled when they were born
They smiled at your success
They smiled in their good luck
They smiled in the jolly parts

Ocean of stories is this beautiful scar
For all I know they smiled in all those parts
Smile the expression that spreads across
But Behind Smiles lies those mysterious miles!

Rampant Foe Covid-19

Searching somewhere beyond sight,
For miens and visages propelling into quotidian lives,
With smiles, blues and not so much to cry,
Swept away every scratch of soul,
This wave not seen, not felt, not known.

Sanatorium thronged disquiet,
Medics and Paramedics taxing
Efforts reclaiming lives,
Risking theirs in face of time
Pining on hope to seize it fine.
Sun dawns again with no reminder of light,
But to know somewhere someone would never rise,
In this gloomy game of toll rise.

This Banshee built invisible walls
In these ghost towns no one in and barely out,
But far reaching to the cruise stranded out
Haunting world all around.

Eyes of dilemma filled with fright
If it would be I or the sight of slaying mankind,
Diminutive demon crept in will go away with time,
Not about duration but loss left behind,
With things unfolding beyond sight.

Laughing at every mile
In the face of civilization,
Pandemic touching horizon,
Questioning era of human immortalization
Reminding so little is known and so much to learn,
Devising tactics not only for wars alone
Nevertheless for dormant rampant foes,
Though shaped like a crown but not the crown of our lives.

The Wall

Inert impassive wall
Crevices bellowing clamorous calls
Creepers trying to invade it all
She stood there listening to it all
Wondering how to fill it all

Circles, squares
Twists and turns
Oh how she made it all
Filled those crevices
With dark hair of highness's

Oh the wall
With divine face of all
Now so bold and up tall
Exclaiming of all the walls

Wall was her creation
Reciting her narration
But faded with generation
Stood the inert impassive wall
For the prolific of all

Caught by those creative eyes
Which gain painted it from up to right
Wall with her lifetime concealed
Rendered those artistic hands
Representing her strength and past
Wondered the wall if I ever aged at all!
