Teen Romance

infatuation
lovely like a tsunami
drowned me just as fast

Princess

I choked on the silver spoon that they shoved down my throat
I've lost track of the times I've tried to drown myself in the moat

Born to secrecy, my lips are sewn shut
With a thread made of lies, crime and pixie dust

I dream of the day that I become sleeping beauty
I've tried everything to get there - I curse the gods for their cruelty

Being royal was supposed to mean privilege and fun
But all you get are expensive stones glued onto your gun

Maybe one day I'll let the fame get to my head
The same day my mouth is filled with exotic lead

I had a Prince Charming, but now he's just bones
Buried under the ground as I sit in his throne

I blow faux kisses over my shoulder to the cheering crowd
As I wonder if I've gone deaf from all of the loud

One day I'll make it to the land of unknown
But for now I'll have to enjoy my life on the throne

Nothing Special

Crimson kids
Rebellious cars
Parked outside bars, staring at stars

Burn the place with an icy glare
Make them all stop and stare
Lilac girls and painted skies
Never have time for surfer guys

Jump off a roof
Watch it on loop
Like and share
Truth or dare

Summer spell
Kiss and tell
Gossip spreads
Nobodies turn heads

Blue skies
Tie-dies
Clear as day
Make the rain clouds melt away

Pretty boys wearing bows
Hear the laughter, strike a pose
Punch him out
Comatose

Loving
Living
Staring
Being

Laying in the misty grass
Time runs out in the hourglass
