Annual

The Bermuda dried to brown
and the dust bred
with the dead
heat of summer
falling
all around
enclosing me in its slumber
encasing me in its fate
and glad that I had
found
my calling
to lie dormant in the ground
void of
love
and void of hate

Madness

MADNESS

All of my true best friends are dead
Swallowed by this world
Choked by their own tongues
Which couldn't speak their torment
Which couldn't voice their dread

Quiet!
All the powerful ones said,
After all,
It's all inside your head
Keep it inside
You don't deserve your tears

Sadness?
A guilt you have to hide
So to themselves,
above all,
they lied.

Smile!
Show your cheese-cloth teeth
laugh,
and don't bother me
with your grief.

Sober

Sober

Think not of "why" when you think
For life is far too strong to drink
You should not try to understand
Existence in this Hellish land
Children born but never fed
Women love and fear their wed
Some let fear enrage their minds
God makes all and says "divine"
So live your life and clear your head
Life is only missed by the dead.
