All the good old things replaced by the shiny new,
But when does shiny new become a has been?
Things of depth and things of worth trashed because you can.
It all looks so good now and you look so smug but time turns,
Shiny new city with sparkling towers will fade,
It's time will run, it's autumn will come,
Then back to skid row, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Hey can we just not do this,
at home or away not do this,
in rain or shine not do this,
happy or sad not do this,
even if you're mad not do this,
in spring or in fall not do this,
in the summer time not do this,
when the north winds blow not do this,
right here right now not do this,
in front of them all not do this,
in country or in town not do this,
your place or mine not do this,
in sun or in snow not do this,
come heaven or hell not do this,
Here's an idea, why don't we just do something else.

My name is Cousin Paulie,
Average bloke in an average job,
Father to a daughter who was killed by a virus,
while neutropenic from chemotherapy,
Son to an 89 year old dad,
Who would like to see 90 in June,
Staying home and isolating,
A message to those who still play
and risk the lives of the sick and old,
Stay the * at home,
Or we will have our vengeance,
in this life or the next.

Just listen,
Silence is a music of it's own,
Hear the rhythm of your life,
Hear the melody of the wind,
Find the truth that hides inside.
Silence has rhythm, silence has a tune.
