Tahirah Mehnaz Poem
As autumn approached the colourful trees, it drained the beauty and colour of nature. The timber blissfully released its blossomed leaves to remain but lifeless…
And then winter came, I ask: “what have you bought for us?” but my eyes were sufficient to witness the harmony it revealed.
Calmness showered as so gently that a smokeless fire of contentment warmed my cold soul, and the peaceful breeze of summer bloomed in my pulse.
I contemplate: What a beauty winter conserves; a source of transformation for the heart, spreading love and tranquillity in the streets of humanity.

Tahirah Mehnaz Poem
Let your passion blossom. Achieve beyond all limits and confine your fear into the world of worries
Build you ambition into a name that is remembered
As you look back, don’t look at what the world said, but how far you have come on the journey of success
Let your dreams live and delusions melt. Never cower before the uncertainties of the world but grasp the given opportunities of life like an insect centred
The world will say a million things, but they don’t matter. What’s important is that you don’t allow them to have your dreams scattered.

Tahirah Mehnaz Poem
Has anyone ever survived this mortal world? Has anyone remained on this earth that they have served?
No, this is one thing I learnt. Whoever has gone, has never returned
I wish, I wish I can overturn the time of my life and to live for my lord. All the mercy and guidance my lord glorified me with, I chose to ignore
“It’s your life, your rules”, my cold heart whispered to my soul, and again I was reassured
But the truth was, there was a world above my ignorance that was unexplored
My deprived soul kept on dragging me toward my lord, but I let my ego stay alive. I kept on living with blankets of deceit over my eyes, not realising the true meaning of life
In his presence did I ever feel the need to seek for forgiveness? But I would not stop to think about this until my soft cheeks would grow cold and the blood in my pulse freezes…
The news of a loved one departing this world left me remorseful and hopeless about my life. What state will I be in when my soul leaves my outer shell?
Then I thought: is it too late to awaken my soul?
Is it too late to purify my heart that has dwelled in the seas of apathy?
No…it is not too late, this one thing I learnt,
I can destroy the dirt in my heart and deny my ego to take control, and I will rebuild myself from within before making a change in the world
I will make a transformation from within
(A narrative reflection by the latter self to its former self, in awakening to a new dawn of thinking).

Tahirah Mehnaz Poem
We are one, but people say we are two...
As I walked through the streets of culture without a clue, I gazed at my dreams as they escaped the cage of customs and flew,
but it was all in vain, so my heart hurried into the rainfalls of pain,
Achieving more than another; My yesterday self, They say, from this what will you gain?
Not caring about my curiosity to suceed, they split my passion into a half. 'Going against your culture' they say.
To them I was astray, but in reality, I was building myself everyday...

Tahirah Mehnaz Poem
The stars glisten graciously above the resting fields, the words true as the heart, peace is an essence of love in the canopy of diversness...
What's found among the veils of clouds, why does it lack in our fellow friends, I think thoughtfully
I think, through the wars of power and cast, how have I slept?
Ethnicity and religion are simply languages of devotion, therefore to live, one does not need to combat, but to be brave and accept
Like the sun, let's illuminate the streets of hatred with harmony. let's bring change calmly like the seasons, for fighting should not be a way of paving change.
