Siren's Song

Raindrops softly fall around me,
The ocean absorbs any sound,
As I watch my silent harmony,
The waves wrap me up and watch me drown,

The ocean absorbs any sound,
A cry for help to soft and late,
The waves wrap me up and watch me drown,
Your future decided by fate,

Witches and whales,
They sing anew,
Muted light, as it hits my scales,
Gradient down to the darkest blue,

They sing anew,
A song of old,
Gradient down, to the darkest blue,
Your story already told,

A lonely half without it’s other,
Sing your spell of a song,
Far beneath the witching water,
Pretend that your heart isn't already half gone,

Sing your spell of a song,
As your mournful cries resound,
Pretend that your heart isn't already half gone,
Your other half, never to be found,

I sing my song to bewitch,
As I watch my silent harmony,
Ships crash, I never flinch,
Raindrops softly fall around me.

Rainbow Lorikeet

My bird is springtime with its green,
Summer with its yellow,
It blazes fall in its red and orange,
And ruffles it’s icy, blue, indigo and violet feathers,

Though it lives in its humid home,
Surrounded by leafy greens,
It’s background only enhances,
It’s multi-colored scheme,

My bird might have a family,
A flock and much-loved trees,
But no matter the flight and no matter the cost,
My bird always returns to me,

My bird is the rainbow,
The hope after the storm,
And if you ever need her,
My bird will always keep you warm,

Because my bird will sit and my bird will sing,
All of your troubles away,
And if you ever find a bird like her,
You know she’s here to stay.

The Thoughts of a Discarded Little Sister

A sweet autumn breeze whistles through the air,
Do you really have to ask?
Of course, I'll go outside today,
you rarely ever want to play!

I sprain my knee,
You never care,
It isn't fair.
You help me up,
You do care.
It is fair!

We laugh, we play, we run,
It's really lots of fun!
Then your other friends come by, you tell me to go away.
I'm devastated, heartbroken you could say,
And yet I hope, I dream, I wait,
For another fateful autumn day, When you will finally, finally, again ask me to play!

Imagination

If you look up, you will see, that the sky, is plainly greeN,
Mountains of clouds drift like Christmas evE,
Aval fo edam ylraelc era semoh noitacaV,
Gibberish! You might be thinking. But no, it was just backward day, as you can seE,
Interesting, you say the sky is blue? Well, I say something that ends with a “wrong” and starts with a “youR”,
Never have I heard something more preposterous! (Well, other than a word that ends with a “B”,
The tables have turned! Don’t you agree? Wait..what! You think the sky ISN'T green? Well, that's about as ridiculous as a cat that can purR!
I’m astounded by your betrayal! Why did you do it? And you dare start to arguE,
Oh, wait, what did you say? Look up? Well, alright, I guess I cA….
Never in my life would I have guessed! This is wonderfully astounding! The sky isn't green! No, it isn't at all! In fact, it's...pinK!

Just a Bit Different

The clouds had been thickening all day
And finally, the first few snowflakes fell
Right onto Santa's hat, which Ms. Claus had lovingly made for him

As Santa looked up at the sky, he thought
That this was going to be a lovely Christmas
Because everyone knows that the best weather for happiness is snow

So at 9:00 exactly
Santa put on his suit, pulled on his hat, grabbed his sack, and walked out the door
But before he could take another step, Ms.Claus called him back into the house

"Dear, you forgot your mask and gloves!" She said
Santa had indeed forgotten
So he took the elastic straps, tucked them behind his ears, pulled the fabric over his nose, then put on his gloves

He went to his sleigh were his elves has already fastened his reindeer
Thanked them, (making sure to stay six feet apart), then plopped his sack in the back
And set off to spread joy like last year, (but just a bit different.)

Fox

Fox.
A black-tipped tail disappears behind a tree,
Flashes of orange and black until, finally, I see you.
Majestic in a tricksy way, I would like to say I cornered you,
But I know better.

I meet your unwavering gaze.
They say there is no emotion in your black eyes,
Yet,
Knowledge beyond compare shines through the darkness,
Lighting up my world.

I understand now.
Seeming impenetrable walls of lies crumble, revealing the truth.
I see myself. In myself, I see you.

I know now.
We are not separate, but one and the same.
Two beings, two spirits, intertwined, forever spinning, chasing, knowing,
Fox.

A Rose

A rose is a rose
They come in all shapes and sizes
Colors too
A rose is a rose

A rose is a rose
It can be whatever it wants to be
They say
A rose is a rose

A rose is a rose
But what if it blooms in winter?
Would it be a miracle or unnatural?
A rose is a rose

A rose is a rose
But what if its petals are strange?
Would it still be a rose or just a red daisy?
A rose is a rose

A rose is a rose
But what if its stem is red
And its petals are green?
A rose is a rose

A rose is a rose
Unless they say it's not
Unless its too strange
A rose is a rose

A rose isn't a rose
If it's outside the limits
Of plausible diffrency
A rose isn't a rose

A rose can be a rose?
But when does it stop
The shrinking of lines and barriers
Until a rose isn't a rose unless it perfectly aligns with society's standards
For what a rose should be
So what is a rose?

A rose is a rose
When
It says it's a rose
There is no "perfect"
Just a rose striving to be a rose
That is a rose

A rose
is
a
rose

Lilypad Lake

Floating petals on a lilypad lake,
Autumn leaves slowly drifting down to the ground,
Swans swim in graceful harmony,
Alluring sirens unleash the desire within.

Autumn leaves slowly drifting down to the ground,
Catch your hope before it falls,
Alluring sirens unleash the desire within,
Keep your grip on reality or illusions will consume you.

Reach for an illusion,
Fall for reality,
Dreams turned nightmares,
Flowering bushes hide poisonous snakes.

Fall for reality,
Dark fingers twisting in your soul,
Flowering bushes hide poisonous snakes,
Beware of all that shimmers.

Let your truths flow,
Lies tempt the devil,
All in or all out,
Indesivnese, so often your downfall.

Lies tempt the devil,
Strait minds fail on curved roads,
Indesivnese, so often your downfall,
Minds going in a thousand directions at once fail to notice signs.

There is no right or wrong,
Shades of gray crumble when they see the sun,
Yin and Yang, truth and lies,
Pick your side before sunrise.

Shades of gray crumble when they see the sun,
Know when to hide, know when to run,
Yin and Yang, truth and lies,
If you know what's around you, you know what's inside.

A glamor protects all that shouldn't be seen,
Swans swim in graceful harmony,
Learn fast and live, learn slow and die,
Floating petals on a lilypad lake.

Cycle of Life

My hair is a plume of ash as it billows,
Up into the sky,
As I stand in the storm my tears are the rain,
Pouring down as I cry,

My dress is a mountain without a peak,
It reaches up into the night,
And I myself am everything,
Every bush, every hill, every lake in sight,

The creatures I watch over,
As they frolik and they thrive,
Living in peaceful harmony,
Everything that needs to can survive,

I watched ages of beings come and go,
Everything doing their part,
Until one day a different kind of animal,
Came and tore it all apart,

They called themselves ‘humans’,
And thought themselves better, then everyone else,
They labeled all my children ‘unintelligent’,
And thought only of themselves,

They took and took and took,
Killing my forests for fuel,
And though my creatures did them no wrong,
They killed them and ate them for food,

What’s left of the forest,
Is being chipped away bit by bit,
And the sky is clouded with pollution,
A word that had no meaning before they made it,

Their mean even to each other,
They arent loyal to their kin,
Thinking that your lessened by your sex,
And color of your skin,

They have turned what was once beautiful and green,
Rotten and grey with smoke,
But finally it is time to reclaim what we have lost,
It’s time to rid the Earth of humanfolk,

I’ll grow back the forests tenofold,
I’ll return their cities to the ground,
And though I mourn for my creatures who did no wrong,
A new balance will soon be found,

As I stand in my storm of destruction,
The one that will kill all the humans and take back our Earth,
I cry for all that will be lost,
And name this age not of death, but of birth.
