I Love Him

through distance,
through good & bad,
through ups & downs.

with our hands holding,
with our arms around each other,
with uncontainable laughter,
with tears in our eyes,
with smiles on our faces,
with feelings of anger,
with feelings of ecstasy.

i love him.

& i am his. no one else’s.
& i pray in the end,

it’s him.

Three Words

when you love someone
you should never hesitate to tell them
unafraid of hearing it back

love isn’t based on reciprocation
but what is given

say it confidently
say it loud
but don’t hold it in
love is a strong feeling

holding it in can destroy you
but for what? because your scared?
be brave in the game of love
because you could pass up your soulmate

due to fear
you could lose a lifetime of happiness.

so in conclusion, i love you

My Best Friend

i can’t choose one.

from the man who’s saved me from such a dark place in life, who’s filled it with so much light & happiness

to the girl who’s been by my side since fourth grade, never letting me doubt myself & always making me feel sane

to the woman who’s raised me, through all of my heartache, tears, & weak moments that has made me strong & persevering.

you can’t have one best friend when multiple people have touched you so deeply.

Drunk

let’s be honest.
drinking solves no problems.
you drink, you forget…
for a few hours?
a few days?
a few weeks?
a few months?
maybe a few years?

but in the end the problem is still there.
along with the pain.
along with the stress.
along with the battle.

& a drink solves nothing, a drink is liquid
procrastination.
of life’s natural obstacles.
