Normal

What is wrong in being a normal person?
What is bad in being in the 99%?
Sure, it’s always shown,
How nice it should feel,
To be at the top, amongst the best.
But not everyone can get there,
It’s not a boulevard, a large square.
I’m sure I could live well,
Being in the middle,
Maybe I will have to work a lot
But the living will be enjoyable.
What is bad in being ordinary?
If I can live a life worth living,
That should be enough for me.
I would thrive, and be glad.

My World of Darkness

Away with your joy, I don't want such a commodity.
For all I have lived, I've only known the dark,
The gloomy, bitter and the bad.
They all say they want to be happy,
They explain ecstasy, like explaining the taste of ambrosia
To a person who has never had the sense of taste
Just as the blind man can't think of colors nor miss the rainbow,
I am alien to your warmth, brightness
And sweetness and good
Don't bring me into your "paradise",
For it will be my hell.
A prison of spring, scents,
Flowers, sunrises and sunsets
Is repulsing enough.
For in my "hell" of darkness
Of emptiness and unexplained feelings
I am free, I dream of blank and it suffices me

I'M Sorry Is Not Enough

You lie to me, you say it was a mistake.
"I'm sorry", you say, but you won't change.
You hurt me, then you say you are sorry,
But you do it again, you don't change.
You keep doing the same things
Again and again
And then you just say "I'm sorry",
Like it's enough to fix everything.
You keep saying you're sorry, but you do nothing.
You keep lying, making false promises
You say you're sorry, but it's not enough.
If that was true, then why make the same mistakes
again and again?
I won't fall for the lies again.
I know you don't want to change.
If you were sorry as you keep saying,
Then you'd have done things different.
But now, I've had enough
"I'm sorry" alone can't fix it all.

A Dream

Hello Diary.
I woke up this morning.
I think I made a dream.
But just as I tried to remember it,
It vanished.

Now all I know is
The dream was exciting.
Some bits of the ending
Keep coming to me
But the whole dream is gone
I can't remember it.

At least I know it wasn't a nightmare.
I'd like to watch it again.
Too bad. Too bad.
Just as I tried to remember it,
It vanished from my memory.
All I'm left with,
Is just the final feeling:
Oh, it was a nice dream!

Don'T Love Me

I don't know if I told you this already,
But it is a mistake to love me.
My parents did. They now regret it.
My Grandma did. Now she's in pain.
My family loved me, now they reject me.
It is a mistake to love me.
The thing is I don't love back.
I do know that.
I don't really know how to love another.
I'm not human, I just look like one.
If you love me,
Don't be expecting me to love you back,
I won't even fake it.

I'm selfish. I'm evil.
Cuz I know all that but I won't change a little.
Sometimes I want. I even try.
But my heart seems so frozen and hard,
I don't even imagine putting a crack
Breaking it down, and letting someone inside
I don't love. I can't love. And I'm not sure I want to.

Don't love me. No. Don't ever love me.
It will hurt me to see you try.
See you expect something out of my heart
Only to get mist and a heart colder than ice.

Am I wicked? No, I'm not.
Its not intentional, it's not aforethought
But no matter how much you try
You won't break the ice over my heart.
Maybe I was born so. Maybe nature made me cold.
Maybe I might care about you a little bit.
Yes, a little bit,
Like a prized possession.

Hope

I got out from my house, set course to the cliff,
Today I will find out what's at the bottom of it.
I tried to not think about it the whole night,
So I won't hesitate when the time arrives.
The sun has risen, I'm there at the border.
I can see the abyss, it's just darkness.
"Now, jump", I tell my self.
But my mind says, "One more day."
I stand there, contemplating the fall,
It will probably hurt, but not for long.
But I can't move, my body feels frozen.
My mind says "No, wait!"
"What about family? What about your friends?
The pain you'll cause, the emptiness."
I try to reason it out, tell my mind they'll all be fine,
"But will they be happy? And what about your dreams?
Why not try again, one last time,
Try to accomplish just one task,
Maybe after that, you can go ahead,
Take the fall, discover the button of the cliff"
So I stand there, battling against myself,
My mind showing me a light at the end of the tunnel,
Once again, I believe it might get better,
I can do it if I just work harder.
Hope comes again to me,
Takes my feet to the house, far from the cliff.
I'm high on hope, I've had my fix,
Maybe this time I can make it.

Confused

Right or wrong, where do I lie?
Reality seems to tell me: "both, neither.
"Make your own path, follow it truly,
As long as your heart doesn't wavers,
You will not regret it."
But I do have doubts, How do I deal with the doubts?
The unanswered questions, the uncertainty of the way.
No path seem to be sure enough, I doubt them all,
My heart shakes, my mind is confused at the crossroad.

Maybe I should follow the "safest" road,
Maybe it's not so bad.
I could follow the path the others take,
So I won't be alone down the road...
I wanted to delay the decision, I press snooze.
But it won't let me, it keeps coming every time.

I guess I may have to play head or tails
Or trow a dice,
Then close my eyes and my mind
Then follow the path chosen by fate or chance...

A Lonely Night

It is lonely this evening.
I am surrounded by so many faces,
A few are familiar
While mine is familiar to many.
I greet those I know
And also a few I don't
It's a bit cold. I shiver.
For others, tonight is heartwarming
The togetherness, the socialising.
They are meeting with people
They haven't seen in ages.
For me, the winds are cold.
So many familiar faces,
Yet, I'm still alone.
I watch people being together,
While I'm alone in the night,
Cold and dark.

Nice Time Last Summer

I've never been one to cuddle, hold hands and hug;
Usually makes me feel uncomfortable.
I usually prefer spending nice time with nice people,
People I care for and who care too, ensemble.

You made me get out of my comfort zone,
Though just by few inches,
And only you, I could long for a hug
Hug and keep my cool.

I won't forget those hot afternoons,
Together we were playing, running up and down,
Enjoying the day, having a nice time.
Eat some ice cream, then rush back home,
Just so we could put some A/C.
(It was quite a hot summer)
The late night shows we used to watch,
The books we read and reviewed;
The schoolwork we used to do together,
So many nice moments, spent together.

I hope wherever you are,
You don't forget those times,
You don't forget how nice it was,
To be us, just you and I.

For Free

This things aren't free.
You walk around thinking it belongs to you,
like it was handed to you, like they are your due.

These things aren't free.
You need to earn your pay,
the food you eat, your rent,
right up to the very air you breath.

These things are not free.
For free will mean offered,
inherited or handed over.
For free because another person paid them
or worked to have them for ya. But

These things are not free
We work, to pay for life
We work to earn the right
To eat, to sleep, to be
Able to live the life we wish, even if

These things are not free
Some have knowledge of these
Some understand the no free lunch theory
And they learn mercy, they learn to give
The rewards of their labour,
to others
for free
