Creativity

As an artist creates with brush,
So a poet creates with pen.

As a songwriter creates with note,
So a musician creates with sound.

No idle waste of time
But creation all around.

A Dream Well Done

After so many years of sacrifice
and training it’s very exciting to see,
the culmination of all their dreams
this year in Beijing.

Athletes came from everywhere
with a vision in their hearts and heads
not qualifying for a medal
was their one and only dread.

Many hours were spent to perfect their game
to become an Olympic athlete,
to stand upon the podium to hear their
national anthem would sound so sweet.

Some won more, some won less
and some did not win at all.
Yet, each one was there to represent their country
when they heard the Olympic call.

To all these mighty athletes I say thank you
for working from sun to sun
and to all those athletes that did succeed
I say to you, a dream well done.

Two Sisters

On a mild summer day,
on a hill lush and green,
two tired sisters relaxed
and enjoyed the country scene.

A mild breeze was blowing that
cooled their skin from the hot sun,
the sky was a brighter blue
from when the day had first begun.

Their morning chores were finished
and it was their favorite time of day,
they would rest by a stream up there
and let it take their cares away.

This was a present from God
a time for him to show them his love,
they could marvel at his creation
as he watched them from above.

Two sisters, a day of bonding
and being of one accord,
a precious time, a special time
between them and the Lord.
