Lady Di the Princess We Loved

Lady Di
The princess we loved

At 5ft 10 tall with stunning beauty
This angel stunned the world
With her duty.
A young Diana did marry a Prince Charles
From other Royals she got snarls
An independent woman, we watched grow
With 2 sons William and harry
They filled her with life
They made her glow.
Thing soon turned sour
With an affair he had
This made Dianna
Very mad
She had 2 sisters and 2 brothers
Was talented on the piano
She like dance
Maybe the tango
Beautiful, humble, elegant
The charities she helped
Where to her testament
Diana the most influential person
Of the 20th century
We will forever hold her in
Our hearts and in our memory.
Related to Winston Churchill and 10 U.S Presidents
Towards the end of her life
She lived in torment
Diana developed a love interest
With Major James Hewitt
She looked happy
We knew it
Battling mental health issues, eating disorders
And suicide attempts
Behinds the scenes
Her heart was breaking
Whilst the paparazzi
Was staking
Media did not leave Dianna alone
There was no where she could turn
To be on her own
1997 Diana passed away in a car crash
The world in disbelief
We thought the media
Was speaking trash
It was true
There wasn’t a dry eye
How could this happen
Now her soul is in the sky
The driver of her car
Influenced by alcohol
Took this princess’s life
She was our real-life doll
Mother Teresa gave Diana
Rosary beads that where
Buried with her
Although no longer living
She still holds power
Thousands came to say goodbye
With many tributes
There wasn’t a dry eye.
Diana’s grave on an island
On her family’s lake
RIP Diana
You have no more heartache

9 11 Attacks

9/11 Attacks

The day began like any other
The sun rose, scattering to work,
Settling into their day, with a smirk.
8.46am thousands of lives, would change,
North Twin Tower was hit by a plane,
People thought, NO, that’s insane.
News came to those, yes it was true,
Some knew and others didn’t have a clue.

Terror attacks was announced
Disbelief from civilians, on the ground.
9.03am, no, not again
The South Tower was hit, oh Amen.
Survivors running for their lives,
Passing the dead, that, they did dread.
Parts of bodies everywhere,
We had no time, to stop to care.
We had to get out, as fast as we could,
Everyone knew, that was understood.

People jumping from the towers,
Things happened in minutes,
Which seem liked hours.
Flights hijacked, 93,77 and 175
All the passengers, tried their best
To stay alive.
Life that day, was out of control,
When the buildings were demolished
It left, a great big hole.

90 countries, lost loved ones,
Firefighters, military
And police, are many of the rescue Workers,
that now rest in peace.
Estimated up to 19,000
In the towers upon attack,
So hard to believe
That this maybe fact.
Years later, people still dying,
To the families, related this
Is terrifying.
Exposed toxins from ground zero,
Pregnancy losses, cancers
No one can find answers.

A memorial was made
For all to see,
A reminder of life,
No one would disagree.
Pay your respect, for those we lost,
And say a prayer,
For no extra cost.
This moment in history,
the world will remember,
Let’s come together,
United we stand,
Hand in hand,
Let’s show the world what we can withstand.

Being Alive

I hope you fall in love with being alive again
Put the misery behind you, start afresh
From this day forward, feel blessed.
I hope your coffee tastes like magic,
I hope you stop to smell the flowers
Ponder in your thoughts
Let it take hours.
Hope your songs make you smile
Dance all night
Make it worthwhile.
Breath in life
till it touches your soul
Being alive
You’re in control,
Time to make yourself
Feel whole.

Forgivness

Years of heartache
Living a soul-destroying life,
While being a child and
Somebodies wife.
Isolated from the world
Feeling trapped, but not kidnapped.

Found my way, I shall not sway
I know now, all will be okay.
Time to heal
Time to repair
Focused I am,
Now that I care.

Strong I am,
stronger than you,
with all that, I’ve been through.
I forgive, forgive for all
This is the new me
And this is my call.

Free I feel
No burden no more
I’m free to live
happy to the core.
Forgive those, who do bad
In the end, their life will
Be sad,
And a clear conscience
you will have.

Inner Strength

I hope you heal – from no apology
I hope you heal – from Un - reciprocated love
I hope you heal – from the emotional abuse
I hope you heal – from being scared
I hope you heal – from no self confidence
I hope you heal – from poverty
I hope you heal – from the pain you didn’t deserve
I hope you heal – from being scarred
I hope you heal – from being to vulnerable
I hope you heal – from loneliness

Gabriel Fernandez Dedication

Upon watching this series
How could I not write?
This little boy’s future
Could have been so bright
If not exposed on Netflix
We would be none the wiser
Knowing this boy was a fighter
A beautiful little boy Gabriel was born
Not wanted by his mum Pearl– she left
She did not mourn
Left in hospital at 3 days old
A selfish woman
She was cold
Raised by his uncle, he was a happy boy
To be taken away
It did destroy
The uncle was gay,
The family said
Gabriel cannot stay
At his grandmothers he lived
For a short time only
Gabriel felt so lonely
What was about to come to Gabriel
Was nothing short of a living Hell
Pearl, his mum came out of the blue
Covered in tattoos
“I want my son, I have a boyfriend
On which I can depend
Gabriel asked, why do you let Isauro’s treat you bad,
He heard this and became extremely mad
Wanting Gabriel for government money
This makes you sick
To your tummy
Isauro & Pearl beaten Gabriel
Which in the end led too
His memorial
The torture he endured
The failure from child protection
His safety was not ensured
Broken ribs on both sides
He struggled to breathe
This he couldn’t hide
Nerves pulled from his ribs
The pain he endured was
Crippling in clips
Bruised from head to toe
His teacher seen and acted with know.
She was ignored, so frustrated
She was appalled
Sheriff’s went to check on him
But didn’t request to see him,
Nothing was done,
Gabriel’s life was grim
Locked in a cupboard every night & most days
Was not allowed to play
Smoke burns all over him
Head to toe
On his skin
Forced to eat kitty litter
Buy the people he loved
They were his killer
Eye’s & mouth tapped
Bound by handcuffs
Gabriel lived
Blind man’s bluff
Chunks of hair ripped out from his skull
Lit on fire
Still survived a fighter
Teeth knocked out with a bat
How did Isauro & pearl sleep at night
Doing all that?
Punched 20 times on the body
10 times to his head
This was it, Gabriel was dead
ALL THE AUTHORITIES FAILED GABRIEL
Life in prison for pearl, is lenient
Hoping she gets bad treatment
Death penalty for Isauro
Is what he deserved pronto
May god bless your soul
You sweet little boy
No more harm comes to you,
My heart aches for what you went through
Hope you found peace and some joy
Our sweet Gabriel, an 8-year-old boy. xx
ULTIMATE EVIL IN THIS WORLD IS
SEEING WHATS WRONG,
KNOWING WHATS WRONG
BUT WALKING AWAY!

Aussie Slang

Want some toast
BLOODY OATH
My name is Logan
You call me BOGAN
GONNA buy a CHOOK
Can’t be bothered to cook
Feeling CHOC, A BLOCK
As I lay on the bed
Looking at the clock
Want a CIGGI mate
Come on it’s not too late
Touch of a baby
And I feel CLUCKY
Need I say
I’m never lucky
BBQ on let’s have a SNAG
Having a FROTHY
While we BRAG
Got a gift, I said oh CRIKEY
I nearly dropped
My fruit lichee
G’DAY MATE, YA got the time
YEAH, it’s half past 9
Go outside with my BROLLY
Daughter is coming with her dolly
This poem is TRUE BLUE
SEE YA LATER
IM SHOOTING THOUGH
So much more I can add to this
I’ll end it here with a kiss xx

Magic of Nature

The dust of the deserts,
the dry air, the dry heat
a dust storm approaches
as we run like cockroaches.

The scene is golden
no green in sight,
some might call this a delight.
our farmers in a drought,
but they work, no less,
without a plenty of food
YES, we stress.

We sit on the couch
to have a beer,
turn on the news,
there's plenty to hear.
The Murray River
big and brown
surrounded by gumtrees
like a crown.

We camp
we fish
we ski,
there is always plenty to see.
We awake to a sunrise
t begin a new day
the decision is yours,
where would you like to be?

Dedication To Alex Braes

The early hours of a Wednesday morning in a small country town.
An 18-year-old boy struggles to sleep
He had pain so bad
all he could do was weep
he, knee was so painful
he had to go to the hospital
his father took him there
once there it seemed
nobody was to care
the failure in regional hospitals
is undeniable in this story
this ending has
no glory
the odds were against Alex
from the start
with lack of medical resources
and staff
before his death
management refused to listen
to critical concerns about safety
with no concern of patients
and no liability
20/09/2017, 3.18 am
Alex arrived in Emergency
In pain, hoping for attention
Was neglected and sent home
Left to lay in bed
And grown
No-one did vitals, no-one checked anything
He was told to come back in the morning
They played the downswing
Wednesday 8 am
Back he came, for an ultrasound
Couldn’t get results
No-one could see him
Claiming they were busy
He sat there feeling grim
Vital signs not checked again
Told to go home, come back later
By this time, Alex’s pain
Was getting greater
Wednesday 6 pm
Where they going to be seen
They didn’t know when
Alarm bells should have been ringing
This boy was deteriorating
All check points were missing
Failure to do vital signs were indefensible
The results came and
showed possible torn ligament
sent home again
this hospital is impotent
come back in two weeks
it maybe too late
for Alex’s feet
Thursday 10 am
In excruciating pain, he could not walk,
The pain was so bad, he could barely talk
His father called an ambulance
But none was available
Who could he find
That was attainable
Put into the family car
For another round trip
This story is hard to write
It sounds like a Hollywood script
Alex couldn’t get out of the car
It took 25 minutes to get him
A wheelchair
How much can this hospital
Actually, not care
Thursday 11.39 am
Arrived in reception and was told to wait
He complained and told them
He was going to faint
Asking for a pillow
That they did not get
Alex was clammy
Beginning to sweat
Thursday 12.17 pm
Thirty-three hours after he first
Walked in the doors
Staff finally did vitals
A little too late
His family had lost
Their faith
Thursday 12.28 pm
Vitals got severely worse
Rapid response team
Where called
By this time, he family
Was appalled
Cold, clammy, significantly blue, mottled
And not responding
Meant he had been unwell for hours
And his leg left rotting
Barley conscious, Alex’s pain
Finally discovered,
Infected Toenail, no-one picked up on
This poor young boy suffered
Alex now in toxic shock for a deadly skin eating disease
Necrotising fasciitis
Lies on a bed lifeless
Kidney failing with sepsis
Not having the right resources
This whole trauma is senseless
Thursday 1.25 pm
Resuscitated
Thursday 1.47 pm
Ready to fly Alex to another hospital
Royal Adelaide had no beds, by this time
The family where banging their heads
Traumatised of what was happening
To their beautiful boy
It did destroy
Thursday 2.05 pm
The royal flying doctors
Could not fly Alex
Now they were all sick
To the stomach
The Pilot had reached his
Maximum hours
Regulations
By the Civil Aviation’s
Thursday 2.32 pm
Sydney Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
Found a bed and an air ambulance came to collect him
Chances for Alex, are very slim
A five-hour round trip
I told you
This is like a script
His parents shell shocked, just sat there
grasping the reality
of what they were facing
the whole time
their heart racing
Thursday 5.30 pm
Suddenly deteriorating sharply
Alex needed life support before
He plane trip
This was critical
There could be no slip
Alex fighting for his life
He was unsure if
He was going to survive
Thursday 9.30 pm
The plane took off, with his mum on board
Declined so quickly
They prayed to the Lord
How horrifying for his mum
The feeling of hopelessness
She couldn’t succumb
Friday 12.50 am
14 hours after the father
Called the ambulance
They finally arrived at hospital
The journey to get there
Was despicable
It was way too late
He had a cardiac arrest
The doctors felt hard pressed
Friday 2 am
18-year-old Alex Braes was
Pronounced dead
Had he had help
From the first time
The disease wouldn’t of spread.
A preventable death
That no one is accountable for
Makes me sick to stomach
Forever more
I will never forget writing this
As I think of the family
Giving their final kiss.

Dont Judge

Don’t judge a book by its cover,
Don’t judge a person by their looks,
They may love to stay home
And read a good book.

Looks are deceiving
Piercings and tattoo’s,
To some people
They may confuse.

If you talk to someone,
Looking different from you,
You may find out you
Have the same views.

People have different hardships
That you don’t understand,
And all they need,
Is a friendly hand.

Don’t judge
Don’t hold a grudge
Give a smile
It will last a while.

One life to live
Let’s see what
We can give,
To the person in need
You can do a good deed.
