Lesley West Poem
Yellow Roses
Feel so sad
Cherishing memories
Of the time we had
Yellow Roses
Symbol of love
Sharing them with you
Can you see from above?
Yellow Roses
Fill my heart
Bridging the gap
Now we're apart
Yellow Roses
Bloom so bright
Spreading sunshine
A beautiful sight

Lesley West Poem
It was the longest goodbye
But it came too soon
Nothing could prepare us
For the silence in the room
We wanted you for longer
You held on for a while
But parts of you were leaving
Long before we lost your smile
The joy your smile brought us
And the memory of your face
Will stay with us forever
And help fill our empty space

Lesley West Poem
I choose to believe you're smiling
Somewhere on a cloud
Sharing a joke with Nan and Lil
I hear you laugh out loud
I choose to believe you're happy
Somewhere in the sky
Playing games with Grandad Joe
I see you wink your eye
I choose to believe you're dancing
Somewhere by the moon
Teaching the slosh to Auntie Eve
I sing you a little tune
I choose to believe you're living
Somewhere near a star
Hanging out with those we love
I feel you aren't that far

Lesley West Poem
I feared you would forget me
You often said my name
Not always the right person
But remembered all the same
Though your memory faltered
Your spirit shined within
You loved to laugh and joke
And your smile became a grin
You had your little sayings
Maybe this one was your best
I ask, are you alright Mum?
And you say no, I'm half left
