Margaret Remick Poem
Heroin is your lover!
I am your Mother.
You choose her over me.
She beckons and calls you by name,
and you run to her with open arms
leaving me behind to weather the storms of
betrayal, anger, jealousy
I wear my crown of thorns while you bask in your lovers glow
She is not your true lover .
She is a thief!
She is sucking the life from you sure and slow
While I watch her turn you and twist you
Into someone even you or I don't want to know.

Margaret Remick Poem
Lenore
Your words to others are divine
Their responses are in kind
The aura I see around you is blue
While some may not know, they see it too
Even when your mired
You 10,000 watt smile lights the room
You inspire me!
Your persona is like perfume
wafting on the air
Always with a kind word, an open ear,
and a heart that cares

Margaret Remick Poem
Old Friend
It was good to catch up old friend
Sitting outside in the night
Drinking our beer
Smoking cigarettes
Told each other our plight
Our lament
Then went on to laugh
Fell into sync
Like we didn't miss a beat
No longer obsolete
True friends forever
That time cannot measure

Margaret Remick Poem
I look into the
summer sky
sky as blue as your beautiful eyes
Two years quickly gone by
Your memory is tattooed on my heart
I think of you every day
Since you went away
Solely and with solemnity I come to your eternal resting place
I sit on your bench and ask for grace
To stop my tears from falling
I think of all the funny things you would say
It’s so hard to let you go
To let you be the spirit you’ve become
In my mind You remain that hopeful man you tried so hard to stay
I hope for you
I pray for you
I cry for you
I miss you
I will miss you all the days of my life. Forevermore
I love you
Mom

Margaret Remick Poem
Thoughts and emotions run through my mind
As you stay lying in your bind
Of when I was small
To when I was grown
You were my rock
And led me through the unknown
You gave me the gift of salvation
Taught me the power of prayer
I am eternally indebted to you
My Mother so fair
Now it seems your time is near
To fly on eagles wings
To be with the angels you hold so dear
Where the bright light shines
And you once more can sing
Of His praises forever and be with your King

Margaret Remick Poem
I've known you for a little while
I saw into your wisdom
I saw into your soul
Your spiritual side is beautiful,
Your mortal side is still searching
for the man that's in control
Set out to do what's dutiful,
And let the mortal and spiritual become equal.
I loved you for a little while, but now that's not to be
My mind is too heavy with thoughts
And I no longer feel I'm free
My deep, deep sadness has my heart bound by chains
And I can do nothing that it can regain.
