Davide Profetti Poem
Thanks heart I got your gift
It came through the blood stream
It wasn’t the usual none sense it was wrapped real neat
I gave it a shake and wondered what it could be
And then I remembered the restraining order
It wasn’t going to be a present was it?
Look I am sorry things didn’t work out with her
But you can’t blame me I just call the shots
Its difficult, under pressure I just do what I thinks right
Could you please arrange for this bomb to be returned?
I would do this myself but I have my hands full
I have been trying to stop this bloke ending it all

Davide Profetti Poem
Lets all dine at Major toms
A space food banquet
Provided by ground control
Although this is not sci-fi delight
This is cuisine of the 21st century type
Foil sachets and microwave meals
Calorific content and salty treats
Has the diet of man progressed to this?
When will we learn that speed and ease don’t help?
Its time and effort that yields wealth
Obesity and heart attacks are for desert
No matter how much physical energy you exert
Change your mind set before you choke
The end is nigh for the lazy folk

Davide Profetti Poem
That night I left I was totally sure
I was happy we wouldn't’t argue anymore
Checking my e-mails just to see your name
Reflections in water are blurred and distorted
My mind is no different with happiness retorted
Checking my e-mails just to see your name
The water of my emotions runs clear
There is nothing to taint the memories I hold dear
Checking my e-mails just to see your name
But that’s not true what about the lies and fights
I wish I could hate you and stop imagining this saint
Its time to move on
Delete out box, in box and unsent

Davide Profetti Poem
Hi there’s a man missing that no one has seen
Some say he has a white beard and can do miraculous things
But I know better I doubt he has ever been around
Just look at Africa and the dying children’s frowns
This isn’t a man I think we should find
He is lost for good except in other people’s minds
If I had that divine power I could not stand back and watch
And that is proof of this unjustified hoax
Civil war, murder, terrorism all in this name
When will we learn that religion is to blame?
