Theresa Upshaw Poem
I could not go
I could not eat
I could not smoke
I could not breathe
I could not live
I could not die
I could not go
I had to go
I had to eat
I had to smoke
I had to breathe
I had to live
I had to let the love die
I had to go without him there by my side

Theresa Upshaw Poem
I was young and so was he
I thought that he was the best for me
He got in the booze
He got in the drugs
Right there of course I realized that i had no hope
I felt so sad and lonely inside
my emptiness can not hide
eventually i realized
that it was the feelings that he had for the other girl no matter how hard it hurts
no matter how much pain that it cost me inside
i will eventually have to realize
that i have no chance
even if i have no pants
that it hurt to let go
but i had no chance
