Elizabeth Houston Poem
Bam
Glass shatters
As frail as you are, you are still too strong to go
Leave and never come back
Hear laughter yet cannot laugh
See smiles yet cannot smile
You want to leave, a door opens
Yet someone's in-front, blocking your way
You have to pay, for pain and sorrow are free
Happiness, laughter
That's what costs
You spend half your time
Thinking about people, places and things to do
Stop
you skip a beat
A happy time
A warm hug
It' gone never to return

Elizabeth Houston Poem
Grace beyond comparison
Colors unimaginable, flowing as he runs
Seemingly late as he speeds
No time to wave to me
Ignoring my every command
But always in my heart
I can't let go anymore
I'm attached forever
His frail body, silky hair
He knows my every emotion
Yet sees right through me
He's my shoulder to cry on
My partner in crime
And, the one that shares my bed
This beautiful creature
My one and only best friend
Truely till death do us part
My feline
Dusty

Elizabeth Houston Poem
My fears dissipate while you're here on shore.
I wish I could show you who I am now,
All the progress I've made, but you want more.
No longer haunted, yearning need, oh how
I'm still learning about who I can be,
What do I want to do with my life now?
Now you're gone, I wasn't good enough, see?
I don't try hard enough, who are you, BOW!
Not my friend, no one I know's acting Bree.
A queen, princess, no just another figure.
Getting by in a rough world, so nice, see?
Gard down for a second, look see the picture?
No water, no food, gona a moment later.
Live now, tommorow is a second too late.

Elizabeth Houston Poem
The cat crawls
The cat growls
Fustration, preadation
Fishy, fishy swimming in the tank
Come fishy, fishy I won't hurt
The cat crouches
The cat pounces
Fishy, fishy you are mine
My, oh, my you look divine
The cat sleeps
Not a peep
Fishy, fishy you tassted good
You didn't scream
Like I thought you would

Elizabeth Houston Poem
Sunset
The end of another day
New memories to come tommorow
At dawn it's a new awakening
A new begining
To get forgiveness for all the wrongs
To give thanks for something new
A new day for making friends
Or talking to an old one
If you mess up, If you loose track
There will always be a tommorow
Never forget about all the tommorows yet to come
For they bare a new begining
A new friend, a something to learn
They're something you can depend on
Tommorow

Elizabeth Houston Poem
As we sit here on the couch
In each others arms
We wait an see
Do we have that spark?
You know the one that all are friends are fightin to.
For, Bore the one we can create
That little smile on your face
The glow of the morning sun
God your so beautiful
That look on your face makes me fly
You make me wanna cry
For all the little things you do
For me, you and for my mama too
You know that 's the reason i get up
Only for you
Boo, my candy so sweet can be sour too
So please don't leave
My morning star
My one and only
the only one i can realate to
Is just you
So let's recreate
The way people look at the world
Our world, the one that you created
Just for us
If you must, know
I am the one you can cry for, too and forever more
You are my baby girl!

Elizabeth Houston Poem
Sit, wait that's all you have 2 do
For me, for you
For us
Why you must, get up and run hun
I love you 2
Maybe just a little 2 much 4 your own good
You laugh, you cry, Good
Maybe we can
walk hand in hand
just me and you
no one else
wait that's not what you want so you run
never to look back for fun
hunny I can't do this is what you say
now I'm paying for all day
all the moods and crude
you put me through
this isn't cool
I rule my own school
but just for a little while I believed in you
now what?

Elizabeth Houston Poem
The sweet song they sing longingly awaiting sunrise
OR the drops dripping from the sky
If you listen quietly you may be able to hear the
wind moaning in morn as it wips around the tree tops
Never stop moving as it does
To hear the drops of dew slipping across the great green plains
The leafs lifting in happiness as it catches their first rays
To hear a babe's first cry or the patter on the wood floors
To see the waters whind, curve and glisten
Nature is our natural way of life
Neer the norm as the nothing becomes a something

Elizabeth Houston Poem
The sounds of scribbling pencils
The smell of crisp lined paper
All the stress of all tests and quizzes you'll take
And the accompishments your parents didn't make
Exeding the limit
Of human acknowledgement
And living up to your dreams
Falling flat on your face
And building past the block of your gifts
No matter who, where, and why your where you are
There is a reason and way to get out
To go to college
And leave your home
Following your path
The goods and bads
The rights and the wrongs
You can make it through them all.

Elizabeth Houston Poem
I am me and I am always true to me.
I wonder do we have a meaning in life?
I hear the hearts of people making a beat in this world.
I see the thoughts of people always changing.
I want to knoew am I the best I can be?
I pretend to always be cool.
I feel like I am always one out of many.
I touch the moon, sun and stars.
I worry that the children of this world will never see a pure sky.
I cry when I see someone inflicted in pain.
I am me and I am always true to me.
I understand that the world is always changing.
I say that one day it will be good again.
I dream that the people of this world will try to do good in this dry planet.
I try to prevent harm to others.
I hope that one day it will be good again.
I am me and I am always true to me.
