Bill Kapac Poem
“ SHOW “
Her smile so warm and bright my eyes meet hers
New love maybe I hope nature occurs
I pray some way today will be mine
To share and care true love all hers and mine
She saw me stare and flirt she knew my game
But she did not as yet even know my name
I know I had to make my move right now
Heavenly magic words came to me somehow
Yet I’m surprised she did not run away
I had to think how could I make her stay
Because I know there was no time to waste
Nothing I could say now be said in haste
Maybe I said something too soon who knows
Or could it be I did not see it was a show

Bill Kapac Poem
“ SILENT POET ENCLOSED RHYME “
PEN DANCED ACROSS WAITING PAPER, WORDS FLOWED SMOOTHLY AS FINE WINE
EVERY DETAIL MAGNIFIED, SO CAREFULLY THOUGHT OUT
AS IF HE FOUND A SECRET, THE WORLD COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT
LIKE A SCRIPTURE CARVED IN SOLID STONE, UNTIL THE END OF TIME
HE SPENT ALL HIS TIME WRITING ALONE, HARDLY HAD A FRIEND
THE DAYS WERE ALL THE SAME, HE RARELY SAW THE SUN
WHEN A POEM WAS FINISHED, ANOTHER JUST BEGUN
TALKED ONLY TO HIMSELF, IN WEIGHTED WORDS HE COULD DEPEND
YEARS FLEW BY TOO QUICKLY, HIS WORK STACKED ON A SHELF
FATE GREETED HIM WITH DIGNITY, A WARMING IN HIS CHEST
A SMILE FOUND HIS WRINKLED FACE, HE HAD GIVEN LIFE HIS BEST
A LIFETIME WORTH OF WORDS, NEVER READ BY ANYONE ELSE
HE PONDEREDED FOR A MOMENT, LAYED DOWN HIS TRUSTY PEN
STARING AT THE NOTEBOOK, FEELING ITS LAST WORD
LIKE SO MANY OTHERS, NEVER TO BE HEARD
HE WOULDN’T NEED IT ANYMORE, HE’D NEVER WRITE AGAIN
