The Time Is Now

All of our righteousness are as filthy rags
I do believe that's what I read
We all fall short of the glory of God
I know that's what my bible said.
But there are some of you that don't have a clue
You think yourselves an exception to these rules
You think you are wise and perfect in God's eyes
When in reality, you're nothing but fools.
You judge all of mankind making yourself blind
To your own faults, or you pretend to have none
You curse all men who are submerged in their sin
While forgetting the things that you've done.
You're in church every week and when its your turn to speak
You speak loudly, for you love to be heard
You should keep it in mind while impressing mankind
That your actions speak louder than your words.
It is church goers like you when you do what you do
That causes God to quickly take offense
You skillfully dodge all blame and hide in God's name
However, there are many ways to straddle the fence.
Now don't get me wrong for I do not go along
With the things that men are doing today
But I can't throw a stone when I've many faults of my own
I just tell people about God the right way.
You and your kind who are so stupid and blind
Build yourselves up by knocking others down
Because they're not like you and don't do what you do
You say that they're lost, and will not get a crown.
You sit in high places and walk about with two faces
Seeming godly, if only in your eyes
You tell your sisters and brothers that they're better than others
But I know that this is nothing but lies.
Think what you may but come judgement day
When the Master has completed His reaping
You'll stand in His glory and we'll know the true story
For He'll reveil the secrets that you're keeping.
When God sees your mess He will not be impressed
By what you have or what you think you may know
He'll take just one look, see your name not in His book
Then it will be off to hell you will go.
You could change this sad ending if you stopped your pretending
To be perfect and all holier than thou
Stop hiding your evil ways and do as God says
Then you'll be saved, but the time is right now.

When I Say I'M Done

Now that our marriage is over
there is something I think you should know
I will never again have anything to do with you
for I've gone as far as I'm willing to go.
Do not waste your time calling my phone
because your calls I will always ignore
and don't bother coming over to visit me
for I will not be bothering to open the door.
I was faithful to you and loved you wholeheartedly
however, your love from the start was untrue
this is the reason that we can not be friends
because friendships needs faithfulness too.
my friends and I can always rely on one another
my friends can get what ever I've got
a friend of mine could have my last dime
but you, on the other hand can not.
Do not send me any more of your messages
for I don't need you and your drama in my life
should I believe you'd be a good friend to me
when you couldn't even be a good wife?
You're probably thinking that my feelings will change one day
in a year or maybe later on down the line
but you are selfish, unfaithful, and cold hearted
therefore, you could never be a true friend of mine.
I thought at first that you were my heavenly angel
but I was made to see that you're not the one
so don't bother trying to keep in touch with me
because when I say I'm done, I'm done.

Hey, Do You Know Me Mister

Hey, do you know me Mr.?
I'm not asking if you know my name
I mean, do you know me as a person presently?
for this me and the old me are not the same.
Yes, you were the other half that created me
but for me that's all that you've ever done
you didn't know me then and do not know me now
so you've no right to call me your son.
Hey, do you know me Mr.?
I really don't think that you do
you said I was stupid and dumb when I was young
but it was because I was smarter than you.
You never told me that you loved me
you never held me near
you never taught me anything
except hatred, hopelessness, and fear.
What makes you think that you know who I am?
is it because we favor to some degree?
or is it because we share the same name?
well that doesn't mean that you really know me.
You probably know my mother well
and you probably know my brothers too
however, I'm quite certain that you know me not
for I sure as hell do not know you.
Hey Mr., do you know me?
then where do you know me from?
did you watch me play ball in school?
or escort me and my date to the prom?
Did you help me learn to ride a bike?
or kiss my wounded knee?
you say that you never did any of these things?
well I guess then that you don't know me.
Hey Mr., do you know me?why do you keep calling me your son?
I have only one father that I know of
and I'm sorry Mr. but you're not the one.
My father gives me love instead of shame
He is there when I need Him most
He teaches me things that I need to be taught
and He never disappears like He were a ghost.
I'm a full grown man now at twenty-eight
not some skinny ****-ed twelve year old kid
so hey, do you know me Mr.?
nah, I didn't really think you did.

Remember 911

I often sit and wonder why
People do the things they do
I am thinking of a day ten years ago
When heaven's population grew.
I can remember it like it were yesterday
For when i heard about it I cried
On September 11 2001
So many of our heroes died.
Our country who has gone to the aide of many
Took a terrible hit that day
Our enemies who caught us unaware
Took many of our loved ones away.
We watched these attacks in hopeless horror
And then watched our towers fall
But the love and pride that we each have inside
Made heroes of us all.
On this day ten years ago
When we thought things could not get worse
The devil touched a misguided people
Who delivered to us a curse.
On that day we died, we cried
We confronted the hatred and fear
But regardless of the hatred in this horrible deed
America is still right here.
We triumphed in ways that they never dreamed
Our heroes are all now in heaven
We'll forever stand tall as the greatest country of all
And always remember 9/11.

I Need You To Need Me

I need to know that you think about me
as often as I think about you
I need to know that I'm in your thoughts constantly
for this shows that our love is true.
I need to feel your heart searching mine
to make sure that my love is pure
for I can easily say that my love is genuine
but I need you to need to be sure.
I happen to know that love will grow
and bloom beautifully for anyone who tries
but what happens to love if you let it go
without nurturing it? Simply, it dies.
I need to see your love for me
each time that I look into your face
I need to feel that you need me desperately
when I am away in some other place.
I need to know that you long for my touch
when I am not where you happen to be
I love you sweetheart, I need you so much
and I just need for you to need me.

Once the Tables Have Turned

You may be sitting high and mighty now my friend
but you will not always be
for your unearned happiness will one day end
should you live long enough, you'll definitely see.
Your only interests in life is having fun
you're the life of the party, or so it seems
but you must one day pay for the wrong that you've done
and explain why you've killed so many dreams.
You fail to remember all of the hearts that you've broken
as well as all of the mean things that you've said
you never apologize for any of your lies
you just pretend that it never happened instead.
Your friends think you're the best, maybe even a star
while inside, you're dirty and rotten
you may choose to forget who you really are
but believe me, God has not forgotten.
You've lied and cheated to get your way
you've stepped on many to get to the top
you'll suffer for these decisions that you've made, one day
and then that ball that you're having will drop.
I am not wishing anything bad on you
believe me, I wish you the best
however, there are consequences for all that you do
and you are swinging at a hornet's nest.
You think that you already know everything
yet there is one thing that you haven't yet learned
you see, I happen to know, that we reap what we sew
and you will too, once the tables have turned.

Only God Could Love You Greater

Only God could have a stronger love
than the love that I have for thee
this is not lust nor a sinful love
for God placed it inside of me.
I know my heart better than anyone
therefore, I know that this love is true
God filled me with love that I needed to share
then He taught me how to love you.
First He taught me loneliness
I had love, but nowhere for it to go
then He taught me about falling in love too fast
I had to take time and give love time to grow.
He also taught me about misery
I had to suffer, in order to learn from my mistakes
He taught me the difference between real love and false
by showing me those whose love was fake.
I fell victim to false love a few times myself
the pain lies with in my heart still
now God is assured that I wont hurt someone else
because I already know how it feels.
God told me that once I found my true love
I should be strong, yet gentle and sweet
and that I should love her for the rest of her life
from her head to the soles of her feet.
So now I'm a man learned in love
taught by God, our All Powerful Creator
and I hope that you're prepared for a powerful love
for only God could love you greater.

Too Hard To Love

We should love our neighbors as we do ourselves
because this is what God truly expects
but some people makes this very hard to do
in fact, they make you want to break their necks.
The insanity that exists in humanity
makes it extremely hard to forgive
the things that some people do to others and themselves
makes you wonder why they would even want to live.
Husbands and wives are living separate lives
because their love life turned suddenly into dust
infidelity and stupid jealously
destroyed the love that they shared and their trust.
Today's idiocy, lies, and bigotry
has filled the whole world with hate
God is coming soon to end this world
and believe me when I say I can't wait.
There are rapists, drug addicts, and pedophiles
transvestites, murderers, and such
there are people who think that they're God's gift to the world
and some people just talk too much.
I try my best to over look these things
and be more forgiving like God up above
I try to see the good in all of mankind
but some people are just too hard to love.

The Unpolished Gem

Many men today will walk away
from a plain rock that they may come across
but unlike most men, I know that there's beauty within
and will keep it while they suffer a loss.
A diamond to most is reason to brag and to boast
because it glitters and is lovely to see
but I'll tell you what, a diamond uncut
would be passed by most easily.
A woman to me, is like a diamond you see
men go for those that other men would like to meet
but many a guy will pass right by
a plain woman that is just as lovely and sweet.
I've found that a plain woman can truly love a man
so can an obese woman or what ever the case
if men were truly smart, they'd search a woman's heart
and not just look for a beautiful face.
The beauty that men see could lead to treachery
if true love is not involved
to find a good women men must look for love not lust
and truly love her, then their problems would be solved.
A plain woman you see has inner beauty
like a diamond that's trapped in a stone
however, many men hunt a shine or nice body design
wich is why many men are always alone.
Let's just face the facts, unless this is how she acts
there is no such thing as an ugly woman to me
men, we should not judge in haste we all have different taste
besides, ugliness is in the heart, not in what we see.
All that glitters is not gold so I've been told
therefore, I never judge a book by it's cover
a woman with no shine could still be made mine
and I wouldn't care how she looks to another.
Women likewise, pass up on good guys
for the handsomer men that they long to hold
but they should look twice for there are men just as nice
they are just harder to see, like burried gold.
All men and women out there should take heed and take care
of your love ones whether they are pretty to you or not
for there's plenty of others who'll see the beauty in your lovers
and will steal what you don't know you've got.
So when out on a date or seeking a mate
don't pass up the plain her or plain him
look well before you leap, for that rock you don't keep
could indeed be an unpolished gem.

God Uses My Hand

When I used to read the poems that I had written
I would be amazed and truly surprised
for I was aware that I wrote good poetry
but they turned out better than I would have realized.
Today I know better than I did way back then
I know that these words that I write are not mine
they could not have been created in a heart made of flesh
because their author is all powerful and divine.
I know that I could not think of these words alone
nor possess such creativity
God Himself created the words that I write
and then put all of these feelings in me.
When I'm inspired to write a new poem
I know that it's God giving me inspiration
He then goes through me and uses my hand
to give life to His wonderful creation.
When I am inspired I am one with His Spirit
which to me is unbelievably exciting
for God is giving me His thoughts to share with the world
and He is doing it using my handwriting.
I used to take all credit for the poems that I wrote
but I don't now for I finally understand
that all of my poems were created by God
He just chose to use my hand.
