To a Child With No Direction

To a child with no direction

I have found no place that I can call mine, in these thing call life
For all that I wanted, didn’t find me,
And all that finds me, I did not want.
In-between these rubbles, I came across time
They told me to go forward, that I shall find some permanent joy
From thunderstorm to thunderstorm,
Hurdles yet again to cross hurdles……

I am the wanderer with no direction
The lone ranger in-between rubies of life, yet I still breathe
Those who sold love here, have gone bankrupt
Life and people had pushed me forward, tied me a mile away.
Our people say, if you want to walk on soft spots, wet the ground
I had washed the soil beneath my feet
Fill the bellies of men, and serve kings, some treat me like a slave,
Better a slave, than false love, for these my people has a lot
And so again I walk through the lights that oneday I shall find
Those who do not sell love for lesser price

I have no place that I can call my own,
For all the place I taught permanent were all made with rods of temporary
The beds I sludge my head
Where leaves rotten in the abyss of time
I came to the imported home of a religion my people are fond of
Yet iniequality lives here.
They say it isn’t the creed, but the practicers of these creed,
What good is a way of life that changes not all, but a few
For my heart remains insatiable
I have come these far, not to settle for the hypocrisy of men
The hypocrisy in the eyes of the ones I call my own, and in the eyes of the ones who taught me how to lie and love again.
So I ask, where then can I find satisfaction from the bottomless whims of men
They told me to go forward,

There they pointed, and forward I roam,
Into the dark and endless pit men call life
Into the oceans of blues and hatred
Into the thunderstorm of little relief
For the doors where truly dim, and logically pleasing.
Right there I found life, life eternal.

Nightfall In the Shanties of Lagos

Before dusk,
Before dark when the rustle of the day is dawn
Inbetween those tankers, you will see them
In the robes of odour
Decorating the hollow corners of fear
Their faces, carries no pity
They are lord of the streets...

Nightfall on this lands,
When it rains, when thunderstorms come aboard
Whence shall they lay their heads
Those whose abode are the filthy bridges of Isale-eko
The half-hagard areas of Cele
Down to the mischievous dangers of the island
Where shall their heads find rest, for the waters would wash them ashore

When it is night,
Here in Lagos, especially mile-2
The siren nolonger scare them
Here where she slept a virgin and woke with triplets
Here where an innocent boy,
Suddenly woke to become a Don Coleon
And many futures were burnt before they were born
They are angels during the day, at night they are darker
Thank darkness
It can only be in lagos, espcially at night

Feaces, with faces of many color
Some in ring form, some triangular shape
In casket of green tantalising and grey
Smirk faced men
Short brunnete ladies, telling and urgingashore come
If i should go, you might as well read of me tomorrow

Do we forget the street merchant
Those homeless not hopeless
The servitudes, those with no home
For the services of our upkeep
Nightfall in the shanties of lagos,
Sounds and buzzes from the factories of buzz

Time Heals; But Not Everything

Itunumi Solace...for all that shall eventually be

Bloom forth, as if life-
Had not happened, as if love
You have not lost. Cry!
It's your tears, so cry it I say!

They say; the sun would rise
And again, we would try.
But what happened to the times gone?
The trust built and broken
Time shall heal it too...

Give the sun a chance-
To shine on your rubles. And on your face too
This too shall pass, and more shall come
Smile for the fond memories
Treasure the unique times
You won't be happy always...

Time heals everything, so they say
Pain has heels too
To skip past time,
Some-things just never heal.
For as long as you remember,
You won't smile.

This is the product of my brain
An invention from my past,
A hurt that builds a hut in me
To live forever in my anals,
A feeble smile pretending to times
Chariot wings...

Time heals, but not everything
Not the past,
Nor the fond thoughts,
Nor the scar,
Nor the rubles after the storm
Just encourage me to cry my cry!!!

They Made Their Heaven

They that toil the soil,
get soiled through the soil
For they that trespass through this lands passes through
The past, and never ever come back
This place is ours to man, not to maim
And for the blissful beam of morrow',
i shall boil in ravage now...
For the swordsmen, their paradise lies in their swing
For on every battlefield lies not their dead
But their victory
The bloods you see
The hearts pulled apart,
Were colors of the home they raised for themselves
And their heavens they made for themselves

They that pass through this land shall not perish
For their tomorrow our future we lay
The world is not a good place
But should you ever see old age,
Biuld your dreams
Water your pride
Starve your fear
Exercise your patience
Tomorrow when you face the world
Biuld your paradise
For theres no place for people like us on this train
Call life

The Fear of Uncertainty

Borrow us a pilgrimage back to a time,
When the barn was our home...
Then; Adunni's beauty wasn't her doom
Today, Responsibilities hound me away from promises...the treaties I made
That I won't ever leave your shadows, how much more you.
Let us run through circus, for cosmic molecules we are,
Shattering imaginations and love, and then lies too
Now on that pendulum, I watch my tomorrow,
Wide mouth agape, for fear of troubles and:
considerably more penury!!!
Timor Mortis conturbate me, my maker; and
Like Catherine in Heathcliff's eyes,
Everywhere I turn, I see their ghosts, with justifications why they shouldn't have ended up with me...
We aren't losers, but strugglers of time and uncertainty; I hope you hear me, lad!!!!
                      And;
Now I understand what responsibilities mean...

Itunumi-Solace
For love and lies.
