Margaret Perrinewhite Poem
4:30am Thanksgiving 2003
I walk until my legs feel like quicksand
And I'll smoke myself a raincloud
And I'll talk myself dry
I'll read until my eyes are marble
Until the phantoms are concrete
Until my mind can rest in peices
I'll paint my heros with lead
And adorn myself with dirt
And the words I write become mercury
Ever changing and swift
All of this to embrace
All of this to claim
All of this me
Unbound
