Seven Years

SEVEN YEARS

It’s been seven years since I last saw stars
Because of seven years behind iron bars
Seven years of the horrible indoors
Seven years of cleaning toilet floors

Seven years which went by at a very slow pace
I hated everything about that place
I would rather die in a storm
Than see myself wearing that uniform

Seven years of being alone
While sleeping on a bed as hard as stone
A single night of utter madness
Led to seven years in this fortress

Fights, stabbings and murder on a daily basis
My cell that was my only oasis
Inmates constantly throwing up gang signs
And if you are not careful you could be another’s valentines

On the inside the horror that you get to see
Might be better off getting the death penalty
I have no bad feelings towards the Judge
But against the system I will forever hold a grudge

Seven years on the inside was no honey moon
However I know I will be home soon
I write to you dear friend
Because tomorrow my seven years comes to an end

The Mistress

THE MISTRESS

She is showered with expensive gifts and treated like royalty
With cold, hard cash he manages to buy her loyalty
She is able to take advantage of every opportunity
That’s why she is the most hated woman in the community

She is beautiful, elegant and oozes sex appeal
But she will never take the place of the wife she knows the deal
She gets everything and enjoys the benefits of this forbidden affair
Money, car, clothes even funds to do her hair

The fancy restaurants and expensive trips to the mall
And not a day goes by without a seductive phone call
He would rather leave the house and lie to the wife
Because she brings excitement to his boring life

They say she has an unknown magic charm
Which keeps him around her arm
She has a great ability for secrecy
And she is able to see only that which she wants to see

She plays her role no saved pictures and deletes all texts
She constantly wonders what surprise will be next
In many cases such an affair can go the distance
Even though the wife is aware of her existence

School Time Crush

School Time Crush

She sat next to me in class today
As elegant as a lady can ever be
I have never known what to say
Whenever she is looking at me

I try to act as cool as I possibly can
But that can never be done when she’s around
How do I tell her I want to be her man?
Without getting shot into the ground

I practice my lines for her every night
She is a true beauty like no other
Writing her a letter, I just might
Before she ever belongs to another

I always promise to tell her tomorrow
But when she is near I always seem to change my mind
If only courage was something I could borrow
Because another like her I will never find

Making her mine is my only intention
And that is how the story should end
However my deep fear of rejection
Resulted in us remaining friends
