Purpose

Along a heavily trodden way she sat where many people came and went.
Some of whom she loved and thus began to walk their side.
Her heart whiter than white, now stomped upon by their indifference bore not retribution but confusion.
With a steely resolve she marched, only to find more unanswerable questions.

She panicked most of the way, not revealing her questions in mind.
Then came along more people to whom she gave her second chance.
Some people black and some people white, each of them left her baffled than those before.
"What is the objective of all this", she thought.

Resuming her walk along this path, more was the animosity she saw.
Only this time none gained her reaction.
For she has become a moving husk, filled not with questions no more but void.
Somewhere along this path she recalled, the purpose was to just observe.

Uncertainty

Broken fragments wandering in space,
A hundred million could be its place.
Each broken part fleeing helter-skelter;
With no hopes of falling under the same shelter.

Suddenly hit by a gust of charge -
Do they form into a rock so large?
Or is it just a disguised scourge?

Herein lies the uncertainty,
Not only in these fragments but also in you.
In you, with your fright it grows -
And seeds of doubt it sows.

At this time you seek refuge;
As your mind is hit by the worst deluge.
Then you hear a voice inside your head,
"Stop this qualm" it plead.

T'was then you understood,
That this only shook the ground you stood.
Now you stand mighty high, not because you're free of doubt,
But because you work it inside-out.

Dark Age

How much is too far?
How kind is too soft?
Innocence or stupidity?
Trusting or naive?
Times have changed and so have people-
for now we live in the dark age of humanity.
