A Little Bluer

A little Bluer
Tales of the great
folklore and the gypsies
pirates all around the state
traveling the seas getting tipsy

mythical witches and their brews
hellish demons and angels too
This world you will have trouble
elves and trolls...wait, I'm not through

fairy's and pixie dust
hookers, temptresses with lust
humbled yogis, monks and shamans
Buddhists, Jehovah's, Amish and Mormons

temples, God's, and holy cows
cheating couples with broken vows
thieves, killers, gamblers and drunks
California with all the babes and hunks

Insecure actors, and glutton hillbillies
porn stars giving old men wet willies
boxers, wrestlers, and samurai
watch out? You might just lose an eye

Wizards, and snake tamers
magic card nerds and all the gamer's
whatever you choose, nothing truer
you just might make the world a little blue

Love Still, Or Let Go

Somehow you managed to climb
Right into my brain
In my thoughts, in my head
Making me go insane

Your scent won't rub off, Ive tried the soap
We've since split up, and I'm holding the rope
To make you stay, or let you go
The memories seep deep within my soul

Break up, make up, break up make up
Round we go, the pressure of losing you is much to bear
We used to kiss, and moan, kiss, and groan
The way you lay your head on my pillow and stare

Now you stare at me like a grim reaper waiting to for me to die
I look at you, and lesson your grip as you squeeze my thigh
Threatened to leave, threaten me as I pass you by
Letting you go is so hard, I am not gonna lie

Why do we manage to come back to each other
When we know we have lost the spark?
Is it the way we laugh and play, or
The way we made love in the dark?

Somehow, some way, I will get over you
That may take some convincing to get me through
But, losing you will be the hardest thing I will ever have to do
And knowing that you didn't want the same as me isn't true

People come and people go, but lovers will keep them close
To the heart of each lovers soul is memory of their love dose
How they comforted and consoled, love the remedy
I want you back, but let you go, you just want me to let you be

Power of love is oh so strong, but the earth is for the meek
Do they lust and linger after a love, that we so desperately seek?
Can we go our separate ways, and set forth the path of God's will?
Or when we depart will you look back and say you love me still?

Loose Thread

I studied your face
Every gesture or mannerism
Not claiming I made a mistake
When choosing you

I remember every touch
Feel, scent of your oder
Every visible dimple and mole
Every crevice and wrinkle

You, my hero on a pedestal
Trying so hard to win you
Even though you and I are bonded
I am still a far distance from you

You pushed when I pulled
Goals left undone, just events pulling us through
Moved into his Moms, was shushed by you
I sunk deeper within myself till going a bit mad

Thread and needle, mine is loose
I tried to tighten it, but inevitably it split
Not by my doing, you were my silent shadow
My counterpart, till death due us part

But, you had other plans not involving me
There were many-he told me
Shreds of thread are left scattered
I still piece together them bit by bit

But I am missing the needle now
Tight rope...left me for a man
Whom he also left with many others
Then an unfortunate demise, he lost his balance

Now, I try so hard to remember his fragrance
I moved on, and see him in my children's eyes
Woven up all my thread-compromised
With another similar needle instead

Here To Remind You

See that crack on your face?
That's for more light to come in
See the line on your belly?
That's where God drew a line

Dry, and wrinkled hands that toil
That's a Mother's love that never tires
Marks on your stomach and thighs
Those are just there to remind you, you survived

See those worn jeans that you wear?
They became interwoven cause you kept them
Fitting perfectly; they love the way they feel on you
They aren't just any old worn pair of jeans

Damaged heart-born with a hole
That's to remind us how we aren't complete
Not yet, until we are filled with God's love
Love from children, family, friends and spouses

See, all your supposed damaged goods
Are just reminders that we are more than survivors
Even if we lost some things along the way
A journey for all to make on this earth we live

I Need Not Much

I Need Not Much
I need not much though I tread
Each passing day, some to dread
I need not much to what dismay
I feel a cringe down my back today

I long for touch, and not for bread
I long for your words you left unsaid
But, I need not much of coffee or wine
I feel content from your smile all the time

To say I need not much is understated
For I am a lonely soul that has been jaded
From a false sense of security I received from a youth
I was so far from reality and truth

Now, I long for glimpses from your sapphire eyes
I long for your love that surely never dies
But, I need not much from books or t.v.
I feel your love most when you are with me

Just a caress to the cheek, or a touch to the thigh
A sweet whisper in the ear as the days go by
Just a reminder in the morn of your side turned to mine
As we lay in bed till the later evening time

I need not much, because you have returned to me
That because you're finally here I am merrily
I need not much, just your loving hands on mine
This burning love is filled with your divine

Little Bird

Sing little bird, sing your song
Cause we call all can play along
Just sing bird-sing your little song

Play little bird, with your bird friends
Cause we all know the love it sends
Just play bird-play with your bird friends

Flap little bird, flap your wings
Cause we all know what it brings
Just flap bird-flap your little wings

Dip little bird, dip your beak
Cause we all know you're getting weak
So dip bird-dip your little beak

Fly little bird, fly far from here
Cause we all know that Winter's near
So fly bird-fly far from here

Please little bird, won't you come back soon
Cause we all know you need to make some room
So please bird-please come back soon

Gather little bird, gather some sticks
Cause we all know you'll hatch some chicks
So gather bird-gather you some sticks

Nestle little bird, in your nest
Cause we all know you need your rest
So nestle bird-nestle in your nest

Wake bird, wake from your sleep
Cause we all know you need to feed your peeps
So wake bird-wake from your little sleep

Search bird, search for worms and seed
Cause we all know your chicks will be happy indeed
So search bird-search for worms and seed

Push bird, push your little birds from their nest
Cause we all know it's for the best
So push bird, push them from their nest

Sing little bird, sing your song
Cause we all can play along
Just sing bird-sing your little song

Overtold Story

When did it turn into a dark tragedy?
Again, a mess of hosts and clowns
Oh yes they sure fooled me

When did I give all my secrets away
Shouldn't I have left some
For me to stay?

But oh......I will break away
No guarantee I will stay
Hidden for a day

This over told story
They've taken all the glory
What must and should been hidden
I hope I will be forgiven

There are stories that were
Meant to lay around and fill with dust
I am old again, past and driven by lust

My kids have grown older now
What can I leave behind, nothing left hidden
My dignity has been compromised

But oh......I will break away
No guarantee I will stay
Hidden for a day

This over told story
They've taken all the glory
What must and should been hidden
I hope I will be forgiven
