A Eulogy To My Mother

A woman lost
Inside herself
All we ever wished for her
Was happiness and health

She tried so hard
To live a better life
Still all she felt inside
Was confusion, pain and strife

She was a sister and a friend
She was a daughter and a mother
She was a woman
Truly unlike any other

She had her problems
As we all do
But she was always persistant
Trying to push her way through

She lost her fight
After so many years
She will have no more heartache
She'll shed no more tears

A loving mother
And a dear friend
We all prayed for her
Until the very end

Until the end of time
May she be in our hearts
May we remember her beauty
Every time the sky parts

If everyone could have
Just half the heart as she
Imagine the world
That this could be

We all knew her as Diana
Some of us knew her as our Mother
From our loss of this wonderful person
Will truly be hard to recover

I sincerely hope
That in your eternal sleep
You, my dear sweet Mother
Have finally found your peace

Frozen Desert

Lost in this frozen desert
Miles from all of life
I wander these icy hills
Dealing with my strife

Lost love
Then reborn
Between good and evil
I am torn

There is a thorn
On every rose
I do not know where this path
In my frozen desert goes

For every step I take
I go back three
When of this guilded cage
Will I be free

Love is my companion
In this daily chore
Just when I think this desert ends
There is always more

It took years to get through
But finally I see
Love was always there
In the frozen desert beside me

It Only Takes a Moment

The path of life is long
And hard along the way
But you have to be thankful
For each and every day

The road will not be easy
I can not tell you so
I do promise to be at your side
Wherever you may go

I will be in your heart
As you are in mine
And with you I shall remain
For the rest of time

Always remember your place
As a son and brother
And I shall cherish mine
As your loving mother

To My Darling Husband

The past few years
Have really been tough.
Somewhere along the line
We have lost touch.

The way things were
I want them back,
So we can put
Our lives back on track.

Back in the day
We used to smile.
And now our love
Is full of trials.

Our love is so much stronger
Than it ever was.
We've even learned to love
Each others' little flaws.

We've walked that fine line
But always pulled through.
No one could ever deny
That our love is true.

When I looked into your eyes
For the very first time,
I instantly knew
I had to make you mine.

It wasn't that hard
As it turns out,
When it came to me
You were devout.

I never believed
In love at first sight.
Until I met you
That warm April night.

Ever since that day
We have been together.
I knew that we would last
Always and forever.

I gave you my heart
The minute I knew,
You were the one for me
And I was the one for you.

I've told you before
And I'll tell you once again,
I love you as much today
As I did back then.

You are my love
My partner in life.
And I will love you forever
Signed, Your Loving Wife

Night

I sit alone
And cry to the night
The only one who listens
Without a fight

The only one
Who listens patiently
I will not be judged
For being me

I am the stars
I am the night
When its dark
Everything is alright

The shining moon
Brightens the sky
Giving me the glory
So I can fly

I fly through the night
With no inhabition
Reaching the stars
My only mission

The shining stars
The nights attentive ears
To listen to my sorrows
To listed to my fears

To lift me up
When I am down
To catch me
When I fall to the ground

On cloud nine
I land on my feet
There I sit always
Serene and sweet

The night
The dark
The moon
My heart

No one understands
The beauty of the night
The moon and the stars
Is a heartfelt sight

The night knows your dreams
And shares in your tears
It knows your joys
It knows your fears

The night knows all
And everyone is free
The night is love
The night is me

Life Goes On

A little girl
With a grown up mind
She always felt
Like she was left behind

In a world so broad
She was all alone
The last place to go
Was her broken home

She couldn't love
She couldn't cry
All she could do
Was stare at the sky

She would wish
Every single day
That someone would come
And take the pain away

The girl grew up
With a very hard life
And now she's gonna be
Someone's wife

She can't go on
Something's not there
She doesn't want to live
Forever in fear

That sad little girl
Is the only thing in her mind
As she thinks again
About being left behind

A beautiful girl
So ugly inside
Every one seen her strength
Though all she did was hide

Hide from her fear
Hide from her past
Hide from the world
She always came last

She found the missing piece
But couldn't put it into place
There was one last thing
She needed to face

There was a woman
To whom she must speak
But the thought of that talk
Made her weak

How to tell her
Words of hate
Words of resentment
The girl is irate

The woman ran away
Never even looking back
Not caring what she left behind
All she wanted was more crack

The woman destroyed her life
And pulled the world down too
That girl is me
And that woman is you

A Forever Fight

How do I live?
How do I feel?
How do I see?
How do I know?

How do I wonder?
How do I hope?
How do I stop?
How do I go?

Obstacles and road blocks
Down the path of life
Heartache and dissapointment
A world full of strife

At the end of the tunnel
There is always a light
It will forever shine
If you forever fight

Moving On

I knock on the door
But no one is home
Inside myself
I am all alone

The music plays
Inside my head
There is so much
That needs to be said

Where do I begin
Where do I start
I can only tell you
Whats in my heart

My one true love
And I've pushed you away
Hoping to resolve things
Another day

As I watch life fall apart
I know the day is here
That I must face
All my fears

You are my life
My love and my soul
And Its with you
That I want to grow old

Time to move on
Time to move past
All of the things
Holding us back

Im taking the steps
To move on with life
As you best friend
As your wife

Mommy

Weeping softly alone in the rain.
Heart broken, can you feel the pain?
The wind blows gently through my hair,
I turned around and you were there.
You were not who I expected to see,
But I was glad to know, you were with me.
That is when everything falls apart.
Another break in my fragile heart.
You walked out the door, just walked away,
Promising to return the following day.
Months came and then they went,
You never came, I silently wept.
Then you came back suddenly one day,
And wiped my tears gently away.
Healthy and happy you seemed to be,
That itself seemed strange to me.
Before I knew it, you were gone.
I was left behind singing the same old song.
The tragic pattern only stays the same,
Except every time I feel more pain.
I had almost everything, as I recall.
Minus the one thing I wanted, most of all.
I waited so patiently for you,
What I wanted, you had no clue.
For some reason I sit and wait,
Although it is already too late.
I have missed out on nothing other,
Than to know what its like, to have a mother.
