A Casual Encounter

Many times I've told you that I love you
Always have and always will
We've had a lot of ups and downs
But as long as we stay by eachother's side
We can get through anything.
A casual encounter turned into a lot more
There was only one thing on our minds
We had no idea we would fall in love
No idea that 3 years later we would still be together
and have had a baby girl.
If that casual encounter never had happened,
I wouldn't have found the love of my life
I wouldn't have you, or our daughter
Two of the best things in my life.

I Can'T Pretend...

Everyday I find myself asking "Why?"
I look around and everything is the same
My life is such a shame.

I can't pretend I'm alright
I'm sorry I can't be perfect
I could scream and pull my hair
But I try not to think about the pain inside
All I want is for you to be proud
But I'm never going to be good enough

I wake eachday,
Just to see the sky turn gray
The harder I try, the harder I cry
I can't push past the tears
Now, it's too late, I can't go back

Nothing is going to be alright
I'm tired of people who only have harsh words to say
You can't change me

Sometimes I'm tired of living
It seems like it would be easier if I were dead
I cant pretend everything is alright
But please dont turn your back
I'm sorry I can't be perfect.

Alexandria

Already 2 years old
Your getting so big and learning so much
Many memories I will never forget
Watching you learn to crawl and walk
Hearing you say "mama" and "dada"
Sweet and adorable, yet at times...
Very stubborn and difficult.
But in mommy's eyes you're perfect.

Hell Above Ground

This is where Hell begins...
The sun darkening
The smell of rot.

The wall of life flaming up
The burning Center,
Of all things ignored.

This is where Hell opens:

Air and water poisoned
Human freedom is buried under shattered skulls
Keep death away from ourselves?
Men, women and children, bleeding from the core
Lying still like crumpled shadows.
Will we live to see the light of day?
When a gun is hung over our heads,
Tears, like drops of wax, flow from our eyes
Running....Screaming....Crying
The night was gone.
Who will save us?

This is where the excuses stop.
The wall of life will not
-pause-
To weep for us.

Baby Girl

Not a mistake or an accident
But a wonderful surprise.
So innocent, so precious
Brought into the world early
Yet, you were so strong.
Hours of agonizing pain...
But then, I had you
My little Baby Girl,
You'll always be.

C-an't stop what I started

T-he me I love

O-only if it wasn't...

My Valentine

You're the only one I want,
 only one I think about,
and only one I truly love.
You've treated me wrong sometimes
As I've done the same
But everyone makes mistakes,
And your not one of mine.
All I want is to be part of your heart
To be together, never to be a part.
No one else in the world can even compare
Your perfect and so is the love we share
We have so much more than I ever thought we would
I love you more than I ever thought I could
I promise to give you all I have to give
I'll do anything for you as long as I live
In your eyes I see our present, our future and past.
By the way you look at me I know we will last.
