A Pirates Tale

Black Eyed Jack is a pirate's tale,
the captain of a ship the Mighty Whale.
One day Black Eye and his crew,
the Black Eyed Band of Forty-two,
Set sail out of an evil port,
to take a ship called the Vigilant Fort

"She carries gold", said Black Eyed Jack
"We'll take what's ours and give none back".
The sea was still the moon was bright,
the pirates sat in the blackened night,
when out of the crows nest was hear a shout,
"She's sailing behind, come about!"

Canons were ready starboard and port
but not a sound was heard on the vigilant fort.
"We're taking your ship" tis what Black Jack said
while leaping aboard saw only the dead.

Nothing was seen of Black Eyed Jack again,
tis said his own spirit did him in.

Pretty Kitty

It's Saturday night and I'm cruising
Power poles going by like a picket fence
Just cruising the scene in my street machine,
looking for a queen who wants to do her best.
Bar hopping door knocking looking for a cat with claws.
Just petting her and letting her grab her whip and be my boss.

Lookin for a roadside attraction,
a lot of long legged action,
a place where I can chase,
a kitten all laced up,
with no one to swing her string.
Went downtown to the playground looked all around ,
and found a sweet thing like a candy machine,
doing naughty things on the dance floor,
shaking her sexy thighs.

I leaned over and told her as I nibbled on her ear,
"Take a drink of that bottle and grab hold of my throttle,
let's fourth gear out of here."
We split the scene like a time machine,
like a freak streaking through the zoo.
Like a horny rabbit it's a habit gotta have it
hit the highway doing a hundred and two.

She was my toy full of joy, my snack in the sack
All night I couldn't tame her flame.
But when I got up at dawn my wallet was gone
that girl knew how to play her game.

Bar hopping door knocking
all the pretty kitties got claws
and if you pet her and let her
do the night thing called the kitten dream
She'll walk away and say it's all for the cause.

To and Fro

Fish and ducks and frogs and such
that in the water play,
swim in and out and all about
throughout their fun filled day.

Rain or sun no difference make
to their gay parade,
It's here and there and everywhere
to play their life was made.

To and fro they seem to go
to deep or shallow stay,
hurray! hurray! they seem to say
each and every day.

The Little Fish

There once was a litte fish that swam,
each and every day.
He'd swim the stream where he was born
each and every way.
He was a little different,
When no others were around,
He liked to swim backwards,
and even upside down!

Vengeance

I don't know why I done it or why the young kid did
but when I looked him in the eyes I knew he lost his bid
too late to turn the pages back as he laid there on the ground
but kid or not he fired the shot that brought my brother down

Vengance two lives for one ain't no fun power with a gun
vengeance two young men died because a woman lied
won't see another son

Sitting here now it's judgment day the jury named the price
I've got to pay what I took away, society's price is life.
Sent away that date to await my fate my family cries unfair
behind the bars never again see stars I await the electric chair

vengeance killed a child in the night
vengeance can't chose wrong from right
vengeance took a gun and did some harm
vengeance took a child from Mama's arms

Been behind the walls waiting for my time to die.
Wish I could get another chance, could get another try
I never took drugs, stole a dime, or even messed with booze
but when vengeance comes and grabs a gun and takes a life you loose.

vengeance

Ride On

I know you want to leave me,
Is it for another man,
Or for what you want to see,
To do the things you can,
To be who you want to be
To find your individuality
Or start all over again?

We've been together for oh so many years,
Giving to each other and,
Wiping away each other's tears.
So tell me baby tell me,
What is a man suppose to do,
When he has run out of answers,
On how to make love to you?

I'll get on my scooter and ride.
Put some distance between you and me.
Saddle up my scooter and
Just leave and let you be.
Just my scooter and me.

There's always someone else
To pick up where I left off.
Maybe treat you better and
Maybe piss you off.
No matter how he does or
If he loves,
You'll always think of me and
The day I rode away,
Just my scooter and me.

I know that when you leave me,
You'll look for the answers I couldn't give.
Do you remember when we met?
We answered all the questions we found in bed.
But now my knowledge and my answers,
Are lying in the dust and
All the the things we've given each other
Are bound to turn to rust.

There is one thing I am sure of,
It is more than faith and emotion,
That bonds true love together,
Lives waves caressing the ocean.
But the tide is going out,
So I guess the thing for me,
Is to saddle up my scooter,
And set my baby free.

Spring

Morning blossoms full of strength,
And petals beauty rise.
Clouds so often catch our breath,
A gift to the forlorn sky.
The soft wings of a butterfly,
The willows in the glade,
A newborn babes begin to cry,
As dewdrops kiss the blade.
