Inside

no one understands me i doubt they ever will
they cannot see inside and tell me how i feel
my head remains my prison dual windows to look out
you only see a mirror reflecting your own doubt
if you choose to weigh me to aide your peace of mind
and dress me in presumtions that justifies your find
then i will be that shadow that falls across your eye
as i bow before the judgement and gently pass you by
you cannot see intentions or buy them for there wealth
or balance indignations you first must judge yourself
if you want to know me ill tell you where to start
first you have to climb the stairway from my heart
but no one understands me i doubt they ever will
they cannot see inside and tell me how i feel
there is no way to read me or weigh me by my wealth
how can you think you know me i hardly know myself

Noisy Toys and Building Bricks

noisy toys and building bricks
girls and boys in football kits
playground fights homework books
summer nights disprooving looks
growing pains and butterflies
test and gains that qualify
leaving school hunting work
breaking rules going berserk
frequenting pubs getting drunk
discover love and have a bunk
find a spouse and settle down
buy a house outside of town
have some kids start to fight
hit the skids stay out all night
get divorced loose your job
feel remorse become a snob
find yourself loose the weight
discover wealth start to date
love again this time for real
hide the pain but start to feel
watch your kids have there own
building bricks and a noisy zone
grow too old and then retire
feel the cold and loose the fire
close your eyes then drift away
as life dies the memories play
of all the joys the one that sticks
is noisy toys and building bricks

Adversary Rhyme

Little miss muffet sat on her tuffet
Alone with no one to play
Along came a spider that hid just behind her
Keeping well clear of the fray
Little jack horner who lived round the corner
Heard an ear piercing cry
With jack and gill his friends up the hill
They raced to find out just why
Jack fell down and broke his crown
As he collided with little bo peep
With the boy down the lane cant remember his name
They were out looking for sheep
UP jack got no time to stop
As they all ran as fast as they could caper
Little boy blue from number two
Turned up just two minutes later
They ran in the house and all saw the mouse
As it ran straight under the clock
Little miss muffet stood on her tuffet
Both hands held tight on her frock
They giggled with glee at the sight they could see
So they all decided to stay
Little miss muffet thought nothing of it
At last with friends she could play

Mum

I can still remember my tiny hand in yours,
loving me so tender regardless of my flaws.
Holding me so tightly as lightning lit the skies,
singing to me nightly until i closed my eyes.
Wiping frustrated tears as often as i fell,
abating all my fears when i was not well.
I became a terror so you became my friend,
steered me from my error watched me till the end.
I became a man crafted by your heart,
giving all you can so my adult life could start.
I know it was a sunday the day you passed away,
because it was my birthday on that very day.
Even at the end you gave with all your heart,
my birthday we will spend together not apart.
Nothing ever dies your always with me mum,
in my daughters eyes and the father ive become.

Journey

if your road is long and heavy
ill be right there by your side
you wont fall ill hold you steady
to face your fears if you cant hide
when its dark ill be your candle
a constant shield against the storm
to bare the weight if you cant handle
and see you through to each new dawn
no matter how long you must journey
your road will never be alone
each wall we climb will not deter me
ill hold your hand till you reach home
my faith in you resides completely
each day ill watch as your heart grows
let go your hand as you dont need me
so you can choose where your life goes

Ten

Ten times ten they march to battle each with brethren by there side
rifles raised, and sabres rattle as ten good men were felled and died.
Nine times ten push on for glory through hell of fire with hand on gun
each longs to live to tell there story as another ten good men are done.
Eight times ten will not encumber as shot and lead descend like rain
to fear the bullet with there number another ten good men are slain.
Seven times ten in rank and file fear in heart they forge on ahead
brothers falling across the mile as another ten good men lay dead.
Six times ten begin to waver yet steel their courage apon the wall
prayers to god to be there saviour another ten good men does fall.
Five times ten dig in with valour as inch by inch they press along
strong in heart they will not cower another ten good men are gone.
Four times ten can move no longer yet with heart hold their ground
the sounds of battle rising stronger another ten good men are downed.
Three times ten embrace with honour there fate to stand apon the last
to face the steed with death upon her another ten good men have passed.
Two times ten address each other tears in hearts with courage laid
a final charge beside there brother another ten good men have paid.
One times ten with bayonets flashing a braver heart can do no more
one by one the last come crashing as another dead man hits the floor.
The last man standing hands asunder discarded rifle lays at his side
foregoes the glory death and thunder to live and tell of those who died.

Kaleidoscope

if anyone could read my mind
a story would be told
a kaleidoscope world your find
where secrets will unfold
the basic truth within my soul
laid bare for all to see
perpetual thoughts devine of you
the kind that sets you free
deeper than the blueist ocean
yet filled upon eternity
set like steel in pure devotion
as calm as lifes serenity
a smile upon my hearts design
to flow its course to you
my actions stand alone benign
for what else could it do
if anyone could read my mind
pray tell me what it means
the only solace that i can find
forever written in my dreams

Rambling

Deep inside the hollow tree lives the humble bumble bee,
making honey all day long with its busy buzzy song.
Up above within the leaves the energetic weaver weaves,
snatching twigs and leaves with zest feathering the bestest nest.
As squirrel watches from his den filled right up with nuts again,
all is done for the winter spell no more hurry scurry now.
Down below amongst the roots badger hunts for shoots and fruites,
digging fiercely and with cause with his handy four clawed paws.
With Mr fox roaming round ears pricked waiting each found sound,
knowing that he always can find his lunch in the land of man.
Who watches from his window view at the tree he grew anew,
soothed by sounds above the breeze of the humble bumble bees.

Believe

i believe in rhyme and reason i trust my heart to blind my eyes
the rain can fall in every season the truist love never dies
karma can restore the balance a single tear can start a flood
every one has hidden talents inside the blackest heart lies good
a sainted man will one day stumble every weakness hides a strength
the earth beneath my feet will crumble pure miracles are heaven sent
love belongs to those who feel it pains a burden apon the soul
lifes a dream for fools who steal it the straightest arrow has a goal
in every soul an untold story behind every smile a shroud of tears
i believe in truth theres glory and lies betray us through are fears
live your life the way you see it be yourself do not decieve
purge your soul and you will free it trust your heart and your believe
