Imagine

If you said these things out loud.

Not Really a Poem

I wish I could let you see how empty I feel.
I don't hate myself, I hate the way I don't like myself.

This has not been an exclusive experience.
You could start a club.
I have been living the same pattern for years.
Everything and nothing changes.
I don't think I know how to be someone's someone.
The pressure to be there, when I'm barely there myself.

You are amazing.
I feel I burden you with my presence.
Slumming it to deal with my e.
I hate the way I make you feel.
All I've ever wanted you to be is happy.
You have great tits. I think about them more than I care to admit.
You are one of the most impressive people I've ever met.
You're an asset to logic and mankind.
You make me believe souls exist, yours is supermassive.
I don't think I could ever articulate how sorry I feel.

Rerun

You have to know where you've been to ignore where you're not going.
I can't figure out if I'm guy 3 or 4 in all these poems.
I know they knew.
The Taxi driver you met today knew.
The guy at the cash register.
You're in there, somewhere.

If we'd of had these last few months I would have yelled at you.
During that crisis, waiting for you to say what I needed to hear.
During that bad day when I needed that reassurance.
During that post sex period where you want to give me a thumbs up but can't because you think that's weird but it's not.
Where would you be when a cuddle isn't enough?

What would you say when my parents die?
What would you say if our child dies?
What would you say to me as I was dying?

You get one chance to say the right thing.
Saying the wrong thing is better than saying nothing.

Sitting in there with all that pain behind your eyes.
Dispensing IOU's of emotion.

You're not incapable, which makes me so mad.
Mad FOR you, not at you.
Whoever made you feel like you weren't enough was dead wrong.
You are Sisyphus trying to stop the boulder from rolling downhill.

Your sentiments are 2D, Flat, Arial.
Nothing I can touch.

Braintina

Yeah bro that's great.
Tell me things I wanted to hear on a place I have to create a security password reminder to reach.
Braintina, that's what we'll call her.
Bit of a .
But you know that.
Take her out behind the barn and let her lament about rabbits as you put lead into her skull.
You are holding you back.
One day you'll be dead and you'll regret every thought that stayed in your head.

I cannot read minds.
I cannot read minds.
I cannot read minds.

You have a gift that needs to be shared.
Not just with your subscribers.
