I Would Not Be Who I Am

I would not be who I am without you
I would not sing the way I sing without you
You fill my eyes up with colour
You will always be my mother
I would not be who I am

I would not be the son that I am
Without a father who showed me I can
face all the bullies at school
You showed me how to keep my cool
I would not be who I am

I would not be the brother I am
Without two sisters who understands
my ambitions and dreams
We are always on the same team
I would not be who I am

Change

Shots rang out but there's no gun
Still you hurt on everyone
In your soul the sparks are good
You are not even trying

You feel the knife in your gut
You are scared of what you want
You bite your lip and hold your tongue
What are you hiding

We got tired of your charms
Tired of your false alarms
You are just a book that never turns it's page

You can stand on the edge shouting out that you are ready to change

You can say what you want
You will not jump

You are not ready to change

If I Could Stop the World

If I could stop the world from turning
I could stop people from only earning
If I could halt the jealous sea
Just imagine what we could be

If I could stop the clock and it's hands
I could stop the world's demands
If I could stop the wheel that is spinning
I could stop our wallets from thinning

If I could stop all the bad dates
Maybe you would bid higher stakes
If I could end all our issues
Maybe we would need less tissues

So would you stay with me
for all of eternity

Until time resumes
Until death consumes
