Celebrating Me

Today is my birthday and I'm celebrating me!
I'm announcing my love for myself for everyone to see.
I'm letting everyone know that I'm happy with myself.
I see the beauty in me, despite everyone else.
So here's to me again, and everything i do.
I'll always remember that famous line,
to thy own self be true.

Together

I want to float away endlessly in your arms.
Higher than the highest treetops,
over the golden moon.
And drift beyond the stars with you.
Even time is not our enemy, our bodies will soon die.
But our love is immortal.
Shining still, when the sun has burned out.
And our souls will dance together in the heavens.

Our Flower

It Started off as a seed.
That we, you and I planted.
We watered it daily, gave it plenty of sunshine, and it grew.
The most beautiful flower, it was.
People envied it.
Wishing they could grow a flower like ours.
"It will always bee there", you said, " as long as we remember to take care of it.
But our lives sometimes caused us to forget to shower it with affection.
We sometimes forgot to water it, and sit it in the sunshine to absorb the warmth.
And soon we didnt water it at all, and it didn't see sunshine for weeks.
It started to lose its bright red, and fade to brown.
And by the time i realized what was happening it was too late.
I tried to revive it.
I watered it more than usual.
And even let it sit in the sun all day.
But it continued to deteriorate.
A flower such as this needs the devotion of two, one person can't do it all.
So, I had to sit, and watch
as our flower...
our love...
died.

Remember Me

Do you remember me?
Do you?
Remember you told me you loved me.
Remember I loved you too.
My love was taking advantage of though.
You lied.
You promised forever,
so I gave you my heart.
I told you, it was fragile as glass.
But, you broke it.
Remember.
I cried for days, you didn't care.
Remember me?
Miss innocent is not so innocent.
Miss vulnerable is no longer weak.
I'm different now.
What I am now is not what I used to be.
Of course you don't remember me
