Ages Past

There was a time before now
that man relied on trust.
I cant show you a snapshot,
believe me life was just.
Maybe then I knew you
your thoughts and goals your aim.
But that's when life was different
we called a man by name.
I look upon with sadness
lost days not understood.
We will never get the trust back
but we sure wish we could.
Don't think that I am bitter
that yesterday is lost.
Innocence wont last forever
and losing it does cost.
So if by chance you hear me
think back about our start
and when you touch another please do it from the heart.

Huh

It's a backward world we live in
things seem up-side-down.

What used to be important, now,
doesn't seem to count.

They plot and plan how to cheat and steal,
while telling you they are for real.

Some walk around in suits and ties
practicing to tell their lies.

Products sold and advertised when used correctly
kill.

Creating games for children that make
cruelty a thrill.

Politicians, businessmen they're vicious
to the core.

If we ignore these symptoms
we'll just have many more.

Are you convinced that you must pay
to live your life the way they say?

Recognition

I met my little girl today, I had to recognize;
pain that was bestowed on her. Hurt kept deep inside.

She never craved attention or notoriety.
By pretending nothing happened she thought she could be free.

But no one seemed to notice, they did not want to see.
So she erased the memory in hopes it'd cease to be.

I told her that her suffering was not what she deserved.
Performed by satan's minions to please the one they serve.

I said there is no need to grieve, by now the worst has passed.
But she's heard too many liars and the stories that they cast.

It's doubtful we will meet again, she knows its time to go.
There were just a few things I wanted her to know.

Crossroads

SHOULD YOU REACH THE CROSSROADS;
THINK CAREFULLY OF WHICH WAY.

FOR IF YOU WALK WITH DARKNESS
BEFORE THE END YOU'LL PAY.

COINS ARE NOT ACCEPTED
NOR IS FOLDING CASH.

HEAR NOW WHAT I'M SAYING
MOVE FORWARD WATCH YOUR REAR.

IF YOU WALK WITHIN THE LIGHT;
PITFALLS YOU WILL SEE.

TO DETOUR IS AN OPTION.
THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.

I DONT SAY - FOLLOW ME
FOR I TOO HAVE MY DOUBTS.

TRUST THE INSTINCTS OF YOUR HEART
 THESE WILL LEAD YOU OUT.

Undertow

Have you ever faced a wave you knew could knock you down?

Knowing, this, you took a stand not giving any ground?

If duel-we must- with darkness to stay within the light;

From darkness we must learn the ways he hides while in our sight.

For in the deepest shadows lie, our crown of liberty.

If we emerge we've truly learned What it is

to be free.

Pages

These words were written for you to read,
in hopes you find what you may need.
Yes, life is hard, I do agree.
we rise above the pain we see.

Like the pages in a book
one day, another, we look, we look.
To understand what we may see
we must allow the self to be.

For what we seek it is not far
within our reach our private star.
To find the peace inside we yearn,
we must from pain and sorrow learn.

Once we've learned we can disguard
the loss of trust that makes us hard.
We can not always set aside
confusion that is felt inside.

If we share the loss we feel
doubt and fear are not so real
I can not swear that I am right
To believe, for that I'll fight

We read the pages different ways
for what you've seen I can not say
I only pray before the end
you will allow your heart to mend.

Suffering

When we speak of suffering
who feels more
than the rest?

Viewing pain with logic,
puts hearts and minds
to test.

If pain is your companion,
your sight wont be
the same.

While you still may look
for sunshine;

You will prepare
for rain

again
 and
again.

Answers

Should you, too, search for
answers.
You need to be
aware.

Most often what
we seek.
Has always been
quite near.

You will not hear
a rustle
no odor
not a scent.

Only when you
look inside,
will you see what
is meant.

Should your answer be
revealed
A lesson you
will learn.

There is no free ride baby,
What you will have
you'll earn.

So, keep all your senses open
 your destination clear.

You'll find that when
you listen; you just
might also
hear.

Serenity's Guide

Should you feel like you are sinking
Don't think that you have lost.
It's only “his” illusion
Your skin at any cost.

Serenity, it's what we want
that makes our traveling rough.
Sometimes just to arrive
will be more than enough.

Of other travelers be wary
not only help they give.
Some of them could not care less
if we should even live.

So when you hear that voice inside
you listen and you trust.
Your road will be much smoother
and you won't eat so much dust.
