Time

Time fly's by when your having fun
time creeps by when your having none
hope against hope, and wish in one hand
wish for true love and hope for a stand
we rise and we fall like tipping dominoes
we give and we take whichever way the wind blows
although time had no face it smiles at us
in the blink of an eye we all turn to dust
so have lots of fun, and let time fly by
but me ill have none, and savor this life.

Faith In Man

What are lies to you?
the things I think are true?

The past I see is true to me
you see things so differently.

The past I saw, to you is flawed
and everything in between

My white, to your black
my green, to your brown
my in, to your out
my up, to your down

What is real to you?
you can see things as I do

No possible way to know the truth
no way to tell a lie

Because I cant know what you have known
nor can you for I

So what is real, and what is fake
how can we tell them apart?

Find a middle ground to share
and trust only in your heart

Truth be known only by god
he will tell us then

So don't give up and don't despair
and have faith in your fellow man

Looking Back On Iraq

Looking back on it all
before we left our home
worried about the futures mess
listening to our duties call.

Fearful of the things to come
knowing that we might die
going into a battle zone
hearing our children's cries.

Thinking of the sacrifice
each one of will make
to give our lives in their defense
this code we will not break.

Now were here and almost done
the time has gone by fast
some have fallen along the way
their memories will always last.

My greatest fear of all these things
is that's its all in vein
but one thing that i know for sure
none of us will be the same.

Nothing could have prepares us more
for the things that we've experienced here
some things good and some things bad
some of us have faced our fears.

But as we leave we all look back
and remember the things we've lost
our fallen friends and brothers
who all have paid the cost.

We will take with us a piece of them
and live the American way
we will live our freedom to the max
because that is the price they've paid.
