Graham Lockett Poem
Storm
Black and gray mountains devour the sun
churning and yearning to unleash their rage
deafening roars bring forth their blinding fire
with a volcanic burst of hail and rain
as if they're striving for maximum pain
deliver their deluge onto the land
like a post-apocalyptic hellscape
was always their diabolical plan
that, along with the total destruction of man

Graham Lockett Poem
REST
I am an empty vessel
set adrift
upon the sea
lost amidst
the wind swept waves
where lightning
and it's thunder rage
surrounded by water
irrate at me
but, not a single
drop to drink
splashing and struggling
against my fate
I can not find
air to breath
and every time
I try to find
a way to take
another breath
it comes to mind
this waisted time
has made each day
closer to death
nothing gained
from the day now gone
nightmares chase me
untill dawn
I fear the day
I fear the night
I fear my death
I feat my life
it's gone so wrong
it can't go right
I've finally lost
the will to fight
for in the battle
that never ends
is a battle
that no one wins
My endless tunnal
dosen't end in light
but, the emotional darkness
of a moonless night
that spills from my heart
engulfs my soul
sufficates slowly
my only hope
the last resorce
that helps me cope
now I can say
I gave my best
so now I lay
my head to rest
to sleep
to dream
never to wake
... a welcome end
to my last day.
