Untitled

I looked a gift horse in the mouth
I swear it stared right back at me
And dared me to get equestrian with him
A healthy fear of animals
Larger than oneself
Ended our standoff
And we both left pissed off

Sweet Girl

Tounge-tied
With a milk mustache
My inner child blushes
LIke a school girl
Who believes her cycle
Will emanate a bad smell
Chin-up little lady
Womanhood has been deemed
Nothing but reproductive
As of yet
Don't be heavy hearted
No one likes a girl who thinks too much
Darken your lashes
Color your lips with red
And don't forget to always smile
Hurry
Do it now
Before Womanhood fades back
Into nonexistence

My Child, My Heart

Child of mine
My promise to you
Is to help you through life
In all that do
I myself am young, indeed
But I will provide you with what you need
To grow and learn
And watch and see
And when you are done
I will set you free
My love for you has already begun
All my life it will never be done
Nor will it reach a limit
Or max itself out
I'm just realizing what true loves about
My promise to you
Is I'll love you too much
I'll be upset when you don't keep in touch
And tell you what you can and can't do
Cheer louder than anyone the whole way through
Expect you to listen to what I say
Do your homework before you play
Eat your veggies
And always remain calm
Basically I promise to be your Mom

Arranged Hatred

Evil smirks are on the agenda
For you tonight my Dear
Ever so fortunate my beautiful face dims
The hatred burning across the dinner table
You're as dense as your guests
They look at me through your eyes
I am the luscious
Silver spoon men like you relentlessly
Pursue until you capture and kill us slowly
I concede, by marriage I'm your wife
So when these friends of yours inquire
About our consecration before God
After too much brandy and not enough tact
A blush rises and you feign modesty
Hemming and hawing
You out wait the women
So you can give them a detailed account of my very being
At night I turn my back to you
And imagine you are one of the men you betrayed me to
