Four Corners

Surrounded, boxed in
At all four corners.
Nothing new ever comes
And nothing good ever stays.
You have me trapt here
Thinking along I won't survive.
Pacing and nervous
I live off your words.
Bring me down just to
Keep me here and one day
I won't be able to stay.
Caged and confused
I hope your amused
Cause this is the last
I'll stand it!
Bumping my head and
Cutting my heart
You'll never keep me here!
The longer I stay
The older I grow
The more hate I feel for you.
The bitter nights and
The never ending days
Keep me insane in this place.
Every corner cut and
Every edge defined
I will not stay a prisoner
In this cell of the mind!

Silent Sand

Seems as though the eternal
Sands of time
Have seized to call my name.
Since whispers have halted
And bells have rung
The clock have malfunctioned.
I wake to the dream and
Live at once with
Time not of the essence.
Barred no longer within
A cell in a cell
And capsuled nearly free.
I cannot wait till the
Disolving phase of this
Sponge like pill
Begins to take it's toll.

Interpretation of a Madman

With wings of grace spread adrift
You always seem to soar into the night.
With days so brisk and air so shallow
I'm amazed that you can function at all.
Your stature shows your strength
And your mind reveals your ability.
Had I never met you I would still be blind.
For your courage and faith I admire you,
For your wisdom and strength I adore you,
And for your uplifting spirit I cherish you!

The Numbing Process

And I sit there and it hurts.
I cry and mourn for what I've lost.
Sitting in the bath tub at night
I feel lost and the hot
Scolding water no longer bothers me
Though it has left burns and
Scars upon my skin which lie
So deep that the truth be held
Within them; Scars that you'll
Never know or even care to see!
My little runaway,
Your never going to understand.
You've taken away from me
The only thing I had left...
ME.

Justified

Ask me who or what I am
And I will not tell you,
I will show you.
My name does not define me,
It only gives a title
To my greatness.
You'll hear my name
As it whispers in the wind
And it will remind you of
Who I am and all I've done.
But if you ask someone
Who I am
They will speak to you
With words that do me
No justice.
For it is not words that
Can accurately describe me
For words portray only
Second hand observations.
If you truly want to know
Who I am then witness my
Greatness and view my
Depth and you too shall know
That I am great and nothing
Could ever do me justice
But ME!

Breathing Gray

Reaching for air I feel like
I am being crushed by
A thousand tons of
Wet cement and am
Going to be
Buried alive.
Swimming through
Wet gray I still
See only black.
I wish I could
Lay beneath the
Stars once more.
Constantly bumping into
Slowly hardening gray
The black grows
Dark and thick.
My lungs feel as though
They are to turn
To powder.
No small gasps could
Satisfy under such pressure
And I fear this darkness
Has no end...

Hiding Water

Alone in the dark they fall

One right after the other

Creating a massive ocean

With waves that could damage a country

No one hears the cries

No one sees the pain

Though they are all washed away

With the tide that leaves

Everytime the fallen have seized

They still lay there

In my eyes

Which never seem to dry
