There is a place in the valley where wild flowers bloom and the river flows by its banks.
I come and sit and think and rest my soul.
Someday my ashes will be placed in the ground.

I walk in a path of stones, my feet are bloodied from the path.
My clothes are dirty and torn, my throat is very dry, from the day's sun.
I stop and take my knapsack, and place it on the ground. I lay my head upon it, and look to the sky, I say a prayer, It's Our Father, my eyes start to fade into sleepiness,
I awaken at the Lord's table, Home At Last, Home At Last..
My journey on earth, a forgotten past.

I was born on the dark side of town, my mama never gave me a name.
She just placed me, just so that I would be found. I grew up with the name Hardship. The name surely didn't lie. I played the game of sin, and made my living fighting with my hands. Until one day, I heard the words of a Preacher Man. His sermon changed my ways, and for that, all I have to say is :
AMEN , AND THANK YOU PREACHER MAN .

The light that makes your eyes so bright, is the light that keeps me on the righteous path.
Your smile brings joy to my heart, and your voice is music to my ears.
Life without you, would be a world of darkness.
I look, I listen, I feel, the love between us, Everyday into the hours of the night.
