Computer

a thought generated by humans
pure in it's vision
flashes, then connects
another human thought comes along
bit by bit
flashes but does not connect
it becomes obsolete
we were proud of our intellect
until today

Amazing Grace

I feel amazing grace
it has entered my being from above
may all who hear this
know that it is near
we just have to find the silence
and the meditation
for this understanding
it is not explainable
it is

Turmoil

Swirling, frightening, painful, sad.
Why have you died?
Where do we go?
In turmoil,
Tears leaking from my eyes.
Please tell me why
you've gone.
There's another place,
but, you're not near anymore,
with your wit, your smile, your gentleness.
In turmoil,
and somehow it will pass.
Give it time
Right, I say as the tears
flow unchecked.
The grief is overwhelming.
I don't understand.
I call out to thee.
Wrap me in your love, your kindness,
your sadness.
Wrap me in your turmoil.

Serenity

I'm tired but
inspired.
Nappy but
happy.
Weary but
cheery.
What a hoot!
It does compute.
As I sit and mutter,
I'm all in a flutter.
And, serenity equates
with equanimity.
The End.

Hands

I hold out my hands
much to my surprise
they are touched
and, I find a new dimension
What?
to explain would be tedious
I hold out my hands

Rage

It doesn't take that much
To get serious as such
A wound from someone close
Is the fatal dose
Eruption of anger, then rage
Puts me in a cage
And, I either drink, or pop many a pill
To make it still
Dying is the only answer
Like a cancer
But, to ask for help from a friend
Brings me around that bend
And, when the rage is spent
I realize it was not meant

Be As It May

Tender tears pass slowly across a cheek.
Emotions leave unchecked.
It is a beginning. It is the end.
Wayfarer, how do you go?
Leave me be but say something.
Anything as my finger touches.
The silky wet.
A journey. A passing.
Try. Stop. I am your just.
Seems pleasant somehow.

Surprise

I'm surprised.
I'm surprised when people walk away from my honesty
I'm surprised when I am judged.
I would think I wouldn't be surprised anymore.
Because, it has happened to me more than once.
I'm learning slowly and painfully, that it doesn't matter
what people think of me.
It matters what I think of me.
And, if I like myself, surprise!
I don't walk too near those who find my honesty unappealing.
I don't walk to near those who would judge me.

Tense

They're about.
Pushing and pulling their wares.
A little alcohol, a bit of your money.
Come join us! We have more for you.
Some cannabis, how about a touch of meth?
Addicted, disabled and elderly people at the
whim of those who would take money for
their own especial use.
I walk by after reporting, knowing that I must detach.
The fear is gone.
I live in the midst of sadness.
But, I am shaken to the core.
With a feeling of failure.
Walking away with prayers for all those involved.
A realization that it's too big.
They will hit bottom, but many innocents have
been affected.
Such is life?
