Time

In a smile it started
In a second it grew
In a minute we were light-hearted
In an hour we knew
In a day we tried
In a week it came true
In a month it died
In that moment, I lost you.

Not For Me

Your eyes don't look at me
Your lips don't speak my name
Your smile isn't meant for me
Your feelings aren't the same

Your touch won't caress me
Your memory will forget me
Your soul wont care for me
Your thoughts aren't of me

Your future isn't with me
Your heart doesn't beat for me
Your breath won't be because of me
And your love was never meant for me

Time Heals All Wounds

Today I couldn’t think of anything but you,
Cause your memory lingers in my mind.
It’s painful and makes me blue;
A way out I try to find,
Cause it’s killing me that I cant be with you.

Tonight I won’t be able to sleep,
Cause your voice will keep me awake.
My life your memory will reap;
All that has happened causes heartache,
Cause my feelings for you were truly deep.

Tomorrow my life will go on,
Cause I don't want to live in the past.
A reality now forgone;
This pain will somehow be surpassed,
And my feelings, someday, withdrawn.

A Thousand...

A thousand questions won’t answer your leaving,
A thousand hugs won’t cure my grieving.
A thousand tears won’t make you stay,
A thousand drugs won’t take my pain away.
A thousand words won’t better my sake,
A thousand lives won’t heal my heartache.
A thousand wounds won’t make me regret,
A thousand years won’t make me forget.

A Big Ailment

Memories still linger here,
Yet, you no longer do.
Profound words I used to hear.
Remembering the feeling I had for you,
Ignites heartache cause you aren’t near.
Nights filled with a true emotion,
Crazy talks of kids and marriage,
Everything was in harmonic motion,
Something we would never disparage.
Something to which I still pay devotion.

Rain

A glance through the broken glass,
Gray skies pour endless rain.
The storm will eventually surpass,
But it will leave a colorless stain.

Drowning in the cold rain,
A breath of air breaks away.
This storm I’ll never ascertain,
And still I’m left in disarray.

The water cleanses the land,
It burns a hole through the sand.
In this rain you somehow stand,
Something I still can’t understand.

I sink in this downpour,
It will never be the same.
It will rain until it can’t no more,
The light of day will soon reclaim.

Things Don'T Change

What once was,
No longer is.
What once became,
No longer exists.
What once happened,
No longer occurs.
What once hurt,
Still hurts today.

A Poem

Hurting I live on
Aching more each day.
Our love now is gone,
Leaving my heart to decay

Fading into you
I see what you don’t
Crying ‘cause of you
My love will remain unknown

You walk away now
Making this heart cold
I’ll live on some how
Yet I'll love you till I'm old

I'M Sorry

Did you know I did like you?
I just didn’t realize what I was doing,
And I was just so stupid to let you go.
Now I just wish that you spend the rest of your life happy,
And that you never again feel the pain I made you feel.

Deceit

I was addicted for so long
To your amusing drug,
It carried me along,
And all you gave me was a shrug.

I was blinded by this feeling,
Which you took for granted.
Your every word was revealing,
But my heart was enchanted.

I was captured by what you told me,
Each word filled with your feelings.
I just wish I could see,
With whom I was dealing.
