Emily Klein Poem
Oh, sweet stars above,
Allow me thine embrace;
For there is not
a more pure nor
More wondrous
Presence
Than that of the heavens;
My world,
Inspired by thee,
Is slowly consumed
By the rising ocean of color
Slowly, slowly,
Thine depths are veiled,
Slipping silently as Atlantis.
Yet I know
Without a doubt
Thou shalt return
To envelop me
In thine starry brilliance
Once again.

Emily Klein Poem
To see or to look?
To hear or to listen?
Of which is a choice
Of luxury in our nation.
But to know or to learn?
To think or to ponder?
Of which is your choice
To use or to squander
the gift of selection,
be it order or election,
is a gift of which
one must consider
to be of importance
or forever be withered.
