The Rider

The Rider

Slivers of skyline
tree arms of emerald
the waning sunset,time runs out
peach colored archways, lest we forget

Golden grass tall as fences
white birches swaying gently
the howls of a wolf
in the dark of night

Emptiness and fog
go hand in hand
rotting buildings and tumbleweeds
the apocalypse is here!

The rider collects his dues
a silver barrel jutting out
wearing jeans and a tattered coat
with no exceptions,as to the blood on his shoes

He has a malicious tongue
and a roll of smokes
his breath, cold as winter
the eyes bright as the sun

His steed, a glowing ember of red
teeth white like a ghost, tail whipping wild
muscular legs and ginormous head
snorting smoke to which he couldn’t blow

The pale horse of death
limping, on its last leg
drinking water from a creek
as if it were a keg

The land dusty and brown
gods of chariots, fire and brimstone
falling from the sky
mythical creatures with no reason why

He gives no mercy…. Just death

Anger

Anger

Anger , it has many demons
Causing tempers to flare
Many hurtful things with tears

Causes rifts in time
And broken bridges
But it has pain

The devil, he feeds on fear
With much frustration, anger has
It always stays the same

Anger- with no validity
Makes you do stupid things
Like hitting people
Or causing crime scenes

Can we control it?
We must , we must…
For the sake of self –preservation
And all humanity, we must!

Breathless

Breathless

Morning dew at its best
natures bloom, a soft caress
crisp winter days and long nights
earth is calm, as if taking a rest

Cascading waterfalls behind the bay
birds chirping, fish at play
glinting light scorching dry rock
a painters easel of disarray

Rippling creeks,snow capped mountains
a magical journey through a desolate land
decaying bark and overgrown brush
some things will never be

just a barren wasteland…..

Cursed

Cursed

Burnt red desert
Tiny slivers of light
Cacti on parched ground

The bane of wolf
A slow erotic urge
Cries of a man
Dark desires, needing purged

Blood moon glowing bright
Chilly frost in the air
Smell of blood and lust
Rancid , wafting and decayed hair

The cold hard reality
They all died with sin
And buried six feet under
encased forever within

Light

Light

There's a glimmering light
tiny swirls, shades of gray
booming thunder, rain clouds abound
it's just a sloppy mess today!

Cabbage green skies
eluding to the mist
orange laden sunsets
reminds me of a Sunkist

Birds circling, flocking
with nowhere to go
roaming the earth
for that shiny glow

clouds are beautiful
a figment of ones imagination

Evanescence

Evanescence

Death from above
It’s outta sight!
Long red nails
She loves to bite

Loves the blood
And revels in pain
A vampire’ for eternity
Drives her madly insane

Older than most
Yet, this she knows
Her eyes come alive
With a fiery red glow

Flying and shapeshifting
She does it best
Feeding on human blood
As she discards the rest
Strength like a bear
Shell snap your neck in two
Long flowing blond hair
Stays quiet like a muse

Skin as cold as ice
Succulent dark lips, fangs aside
A murderous smile, with no empathy
Nothing will ever suffice
