White Rose

The white rose weeps with morning dew, But the sunshine's warmth is what dries its tears; But when that sunshine disappears, Its pearly petals fade to blue.

Thou Hast a Heart O Silver

Heart o Silver, doth thou dither?
About the stars, or planets blither?
O grateful gods, become so weary,
Heart o silver, hast left thee teary.
Glaciated by wind and storm,
Nevermore, thy heart be warm.

My Favourite Food

The aroma of cuisine fills the air,
Pervading from a steel, simmering pot
With a hissing lid that declares beware
What may it be? I haven’t the lone thought.

My curiosity begins to peak,
I gaze, and observe attentively yet
And round a corner I begin to sneak,
Instantly, I feel a twinge of regret

I raise the lid of the simmering pot,
Steam flees from whatever it is within,
And what’s revealed is not what I had thought
Why it made my smile turn into so wide!

For it was simple gorgeous spaghetti,
With noodles like a wheaty confetti!

Two Spies Meet

Two Spies Meet - May 6, 2018

“Tonight we rendezvous by the gallivanting roses,”
Said she with a Français hypnosis.

With a head a’shakin’ like a dog,
I acquiesce with her request.
But was I blind to the consequences?

Before I could protest,
Away was she with finesse.
Overcome I was with a gnawing stress!

This situation so rare, so unique,
Little did she know,
This was all planned to end bleak!

Nightfall arose from across the horizon,
And stars like bullet holes wounded the skies with their light.
I came with steps so nonchalant, so quiet.

“‘Twas the place of gallivanting roses?”
Said I with an inquiring focus.

‘Round I gazed with monologue,
“Maybe she already knew?”
“Could it be that the information went a’strew?”

By and by I grew precarious,
I couldn’t help but feel I was involved in somethin’ nefarious!
The situation was growing ever so serious.

This situation so rare, so unique,
Little did he know,
This was all planned to end bleak.

The sound of a muffled bullet sang out into the air,
And the bullet hole wounded his skull with it’s painful despair.
I had come with steps so nonchalant, so quiet.

“This is what you get when you’re a spy for hire!”
“A bullet to the head when you’re plan is to backfire!”

Fleeting into the night in a state of pure ecstasy,
“He really should’ve been acting more tentatively...”

A Homage To Winter

Imagine sweet winter, through wishing white snow, Leaves trees and foliage, with a delicate glow. With the children off sledding, and the cocoa so sweet, 'Tis no wonder why winter, is such a great treat!

Overcast

Behold no daylight, After warm cloud covering. Rain prepares to pour.

The Nightmare Returns

I am the shadow that stalks you in the night,
Being sure to give you a great big fright!

I am the thing that lives beneath your bed,
Giving a rata-tap-tap on your puny little head!

I am the glowing sphere flying here and there,
So you better make sure you be so very aware!

I am the doll sitting at the end of your bed,
So you better go to sleep or you will be dead!

I am you walking in an ice-cold sweat,
Saying "it was just a nightmare, and that I bet!"

Nature's Spirits

Above wet mosses tread quiet spirits,
Leaving blossoming boughs, and flowers abloom.
Between vivid light and verdant grasses,
It is here, where their wild hearts loom.
