Happy new year springs fond surprise,
Ooze of good cheer now flavours spice.
Journal page new as fresh ink stains,
A sparkling brew as fond thoughts gain.
Brisk strokes now tell a tale of poise,
Soul feels somehow flow of fine voice.
Choice anchors plain a touch of will,
No need to strain as cheer reveals.
Thought and word string an inner urge,
Now time can fling what must emerge.
Lines in clear verse can fashion stuff,
I now observe more than enough.
A certain feel can journey well,
For words can heal and cast new spells.
Watch flavours cue a strange new stew,
From me to you as coffee brews.
