Albuquerque Balloon Festival

Have you been to the Land of Enchantment?
When BALLOON all fill the air?
It’s early in October
And I wish that I were there
The dark BLUE SKY is dotted
With colors of all hues
All shapes and size and baskets
Most anything you’d choose
HAPPINESS is waking
To the sound of propane tanks
As BALLOONS now by the thousands
Take to the air in ranks

Mdailey	7/17/11

I lived in Albuquerque for 4 years and enjoyed the sight of balloons dotting the sky
just about any time the weather was good and the wind was calm. If you ever get
the chance to get to Albuquerque in October, be sure to stick around for this
festival. You will not be disappointed.
