By You

Pictures on a shelf,
remind me now
of how i could of been.

Expectations start high.
Expectations end low.

Holding tight,
our heads are spinning.
But my love,
this is just the beginning.

I stand here
so unsubjected.
I stand here
so infected
by you.

I wish
I could speak more clearly.
I wish
by you,
I wouldn't shake
when near me.

By you
scared thoughts
inject me.

By you
my mind and words
aren't quite connecting.
